Playing 2k11 for the 1st time in nearly 8 weeks due to work and C.o.D never even knew there was a patch out went straight into a quick game with my friend after installing the patch , i went the knicks away and he went the Cavs at home ... BOOM new Cavs court is there

Cant really comment on gameplay but like Lamrock said sliders will need adjusting again.

Just wanted to say thanks to 2k for fixing a court , i honestly thought it would be left the way it was.

I just hope it'll be here before the end of the year. It doesn't look like its going to come within the next few weeks based off of Ronnie2k's twitter response.

I wouldn't necessarily come to that conclusion. The person he's responding to specifically mentioned the patch for NBA 2K10 not coming until March earlier this year; I read Ronnie's response as saying there won't be a similar delay this year ie we won't be waiting until March 2011. Certainly doesn't rule out a release within the next couple of weeks as initially suggested, it just doesn't set a date in stone either.

I think we've already established that it'll be available before March, a couple of folks have just misread that other Tweet. Sounds promising for it to be released within the next couple of weeks, thanks for the heads up.

Seems wrong allowing digital distributors to delay patch release for people who didn't use their service.

Well, I bet that 2sports servers are not equipped to handle 2 versions of games beingp played. With that said, if they release a patch for the dvd version first, they would alienate online play for either the people who installed the patch, or the people who have yet to receive the patch, depending on whether they patched the server to handle the update or not.

remember what happened last year? Gamersgate leaked the patch (yay me), 2k ended up releasing the DVD patch early and patched the servers so then Steam and other DD users got blocked out of online until they got the patch.


now, what is more unfair, delaying the patch for a synchronized release, or shutting paying customers out of features (NBA Today, Online play, 2Kshare, Uploading Media) because of a staggered release?

Haven't played a full game post-patch yet, as I've been playing MP post-patch, just to see if the game crashes were fixed. Still haven't gotten to the point to where it was usual for the game to lock up, but the patch added playcalling to My Player mode. Basically, the coach calls plays, and we follow the on-screen instructions etc.

I like it to an extent, but it's led to very low scoring games (full shotclock is used on nearly every possession), and usually at the end of the play/possession, Brandon Roy or Nicolas Batum (I'm on the Blazers) just end up jacking up an ill-advised shot. It then comes down to me running the offense if I know the play is designed for either one of those ballhogs to prevent them from jacking up more shots.

Supposedly the consistency for the user and cpu has gone up, but it feels like it hasn't. My teammates are missing open shots, and making three-pointers is very scarce (I'm playing with Default settings). Many of you have said the patch has required slider changes; will play a full game, then post my impressions here sometime soon.

Okay, here's an odd glitch I just encountered that may or may not be new due to the patch. I decided to play a sim association (with 29 game seasons), and I launched season #2, and for some reason, my team played 42 (compared to 29 for everyone else). Anybody else experience this odd glitch?

Okay, this seems to happen every time I sim a season. Now, in the second season, there will always be one team that plays nearly 50% more games than the rest of the league. Noticed this when Jerry Sloan won coach of the year for leading Utah to a 56-64 season. Turrible glitch.

Ugh, I was at the point where the sliders were dialed in so well, I could just pick up a controller and play and not worry about anything, and enjoy the game.

Now this update comes along, changes the pace of the game, the players quickness, driving animations/contact layups and whatnawt... and changed the shot release times of some of the players on my team.

Had just gotten used to Rip Hamiltons very delayed release, and had finally been able to hit the midrange with him. Now that's all gone. Probably take another week or two until I'm able to get back to where I was pre patch. And another week or two of Rip shooting ~40%.

Very mixed about the patch after a game in Association and MP.

Pros
-No long socks glitch
-All the other smaller glitches gone
-Playcalling in MP completely changes the gameplay and pace in MP
-Loose balls seem way more fair now, some loose balls actually seem like 50-50 for either team, where as pre patch it was ALWAYS 80-20 in favour of CPU

Negs
-Player quickness seems too quick
-The overall smoothness seems to have gone down a bit, maybe because of the quickness of players going up
-Overall seems more frantic and seems like the pace of the game doesn't really go down as the game progresses which I loved pre patch
-Seen alot of awkward shots due to the high shot arc that they implemented near the baseline. Even corner threes that go WAY to high(not all the time), when clearly they have no chance of hitting the backboard. Honestly prefered having the odd shot hit the side of the glass every other game than having 3 or 4 shots at least a game that go WAY too high and look like a turd
-and now I have to redo everything I worked so hard to perfect pre patch

PC patch sent back to QA. We want to get the unranked divergence fix in because you can't access coach settings in game. (later says it should be this month)
