Anyway, to nitpick both EA and 2K, I wish we could disable the little "New!" icons....after a few months....they ain't new features.

Ronnie2K wrote:Guys, the look of the PC menu is just that... the look. Erick Boenisch, who wrote many of the Insights and worked heavily on the PC version, told me that all the options are there. The reason the menu is still that toggle system from last year is because the one from this year didn't fit. But everything is there... It's the same exact game as console besides this one design thing.

The player models thing is ridiculous, they're completely new.

I am trying to confirm whether or not there are custom soundtracks. Regardless of whether there are or not, the PC has features that the other two don't (I am sure you can figure it out). We are not trying to jilt PC users. I play on PC myself quite often and love the experience.

Sorry Mr. JaoSming sir. I am just excited by the game's release and when I log in to the internets to get info and impressions about the game all I find are mistakes like this menu fraud from them.

Somebody at 2K sure wants you to because this is the third year now that damn pointer won't go away.

Oh, and the whole downgraded graphics online. So that makes it two "design things" right? And the shaders?

probably because on PC, we have so many resolutions that sometimes parts of the menu may become unseen...

Actually this is pretty gay, but I can deal. Thinking about getting the game on PC instead of the 360.

Why would you want to pay less for a "better" version of the game?

They did improve the menus though. Not as ugly and they haven't randomly swapped the location of things yet. (Though they did change things initially so I keep going left for My Player.)

I could probably list plenty of issues if I cared enough, but playing the game has more than proven how laughable the 9.5 IGN score was.

At least in single player the models are the shitty new 2K11 models though. Maybe I'll lower the settings so the players don't all seem to have tits. The fact the net moves despite no contact constantly along with jerseys doing the same is maddening enough.

The menus aren't quite as a bad when you get used to them but I'd still prefer something a bit more linear. The bigger issue for me is that certain options/buttons don't seem to respond to the mouse properly/at all; the controller works perfectly but when I'm in the menus I'd rather set it down and just use the mouse. Nothing you can't get around of course but overall the UI's not quite as user-friendly as it could've been.

I don't give a fuck about the menu as long as the options are the same as it it with consoles, since the gameplay is the thing that truly matters and in NBA 2K11 2ksports did an amazing job. Last night I had a chance to play the PC version of the game with all settings maxed out (I already own xbox 360 version) and I can confirm that the menu is the old one (as of nba 2k10 but with all same options as with xbox 360), but damn does the gameplay plays smooth.

IMO, the PC version plays smoother than xbox 360 version, at least in regard of plays and feel of it as such, although dont get me wrong (there's nothing really wrong with xbox 360 version anways..its just it feels smoother on PC)!

and finally they did make xbox 360 controller (wired) for PC work as it should with xbox 360 icons included. Isomotion works perfect, triggers work as they should (replay can be rewinded/fast forwarded, give n go can be done and alley oop is not a problem). Force feedback also now works while using xbox 360 controller (wired) for PC, therefore while shooting free throws you get the heartbeat rumble in your xbox 360 controller!

Oh the menu made me lost my drive in getting this game. :(
No jersey patches for you guys from me this year. :shake:

If Dragon Age 2 has the same main menu, I will not get the game either.
If Fallout: New Vegas the same fonts from Fallout 3, I won't play that game too.
Mass Effect 3 is the same Mass Effect only with a "3" in it. I won't play that series anymore.
NBA 2k11 is NBA 2k10 + 1 with Bulls, and Jordan. But same menu. 'nuff said. :shake: :shake: :shake:

I remember when I first got 2k10 last year I was so exited to finally play a real nba sim game that I couldn't have cared less if the menus were from nba live 97. I was so high to finally get over the frustation nba live years (06/07/08) virtually having the same game over and over, with no updates, no more changes than a few menus, animations and soundtrack that just being able to play the game was a terrific experience despite all. Today i'd say i can care a bit, I don't own the game yet but im so freking grateful that 2k got us pc users out from nba live stupid pc games chains that i won't care if they put a 2 bit menu on the screen if the gameplay is exactly the same than console users.

maybe i could expect an update eventually, it would be a nice gesture to us, that's all..
