Nothing like that has been mentioned thus far in this thread, though that could very well be included. I'm sure we'll find out at some point this week.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I'm a little surprised at how excited people are getting about this particular snippet. Like I said it's cool and all but I'm looking forward to a Developer Insight that goes into the nuts and bolts of Association, improvements to trade logic, that sort of thing.

Perhaps. I guess I was expecting more people to find it a bit gimmicky or certainly not all that crucial.

It was a big deal in Madden when they did it this year too. The logically challenged out there just love them some Obama.

I love how everyone looks angry or bored at being there.

Live 2004's cutscenes and ticker can be seen as gimmicky, but they are the reason i still play that game

True, though those are the kind of extras I'd think of before adding the visit to the White House. I'm guessing the post-game championship celebrations have also been enhanced/expanded.

Based on prior weeks they did these short pics/comments each day on Facebook, and then at the end of the week did the long Insight entry.

I think the reason Obama came first is because Madden did it this year and it was a big deal, so people will be talking about this all week. (And it's actually something that takes almost no time to do, they could have done it in like a couple days, a week tops.) They added cutscenes and stuff to My Player, there's no reason a lot of that stuff could not easily be used in the Association Mode, you just have to tell the game to change the player model and simulate the responses instead of letting the player do it. Since they've done it before, I don't see why they could not have again.

Not that I'd miss it, since I'll probably be turning it off like the PDA and cutscenes of Lives past unless there is a clear benefit to using them instead of the standard sports game annoyance.

Who's gonna be the first player from your franchise to sit next to MJ in the Hall of Fame?

I really don't care if it has obama in it that's not what i am happy or excited about i am excited if they bring back the
front office, if you unfamiliar with it from one of 2k's earlier editions... i think it was 2k5 not 100% sure but they had a player talk
to the GM to get motivated or unmotivated based of the GM's comment about them as a player so i am only asking if that's
what you were referring to, i know their is nothing set in stone, my excitement level is right where it was when i found out they were
putting MJ's signatures in the game so i thought you were talking about something they had a long time ago when you said the words
association & front office (Y)

This has probably been posted already a bunch of times, but Amazon leaked this:

# Updated AI systems across the board make The Association the smartest franchise mode in sports gaming. Featuring a revamped NBA Draft with draft day trades, and a user-friendly trade finder, the Association brings an entirely new level of realism.

as a heads up on that picture

That picture (the MJ bust) is not in the game (check the disclaimer).

didnt even notice the little disclaimer. I guess this is just a retire and see name retired.

At least something interesting... this Obama and Hall of Fame thing are minor improvements, i want to know the important changes that Association will have.

I'd like to see the ring celebration on opening night, even if your team doesn't win it all... (Y) That would really be great.

Yeah draft day trades is pretty cool, hopefully that means the draft itself has been overhauled.
