NBA 2k11 PC Patch Released - Impressions

Just be thankful they care about their customers enough to make a patch or even release a game. Especially since the Pc platform version of 2K11 has lower sales than any other platform, including the ps2 and Wii versions.

That is assuming that vgchartz.com has accurate numbers. I think its pretty accurate. When I bought the game at midnight, they said they had to go to another store to pick up copies of the pc version since two people were buying it and they only had one copy. ONE copy of the pc version on release date at a gamestop.

I wonder what the "plus a few things" is going to be for the patch. Hopefully we'll see it soon enough.

he mentioned the crappy benchmarking stuff will be fixed for online (so high settings can be used online)
hopefully they add art for the missing alternate jerseys (ORL, NOH, MIN)
the fix for online coaching that consoles didnt get

With the pc patch coming in the next few days (hours?) and considering the release notes are almost the same as the consoles' one, I wanted to know what "Addressed an issue where Potential values weren’t being properly updated in the player progression system." means.

The "Potential" attribute was not updating as players progressed. I am guessing that as a player gets older and better, then their "potential" attribute should decrease, and it wasn't(being properly updated). People have been complaining about their associations becoming over run with high 90/80 rated players, and it might have something to do with that.

I've noticed that it increases on young players but never decreases on old ones. I like your "guess" but doesn't any console user actually "know" what it alters? I'm asking because so far I had to decrease every player's potential before starting an association.

2k9 and 2k10 for PC - 0.00m sales I guess that's pretty inaccurate. Yes, i'm thankful for even releasing the game on PC, but the sales will not go up with that kind of support towards the computer users (late patches, broken online) Just my 2 cents.

this. and I want to remind you guys that even if the codes work on the PC version this year, the iff files arent in the PC game for those alternate jerseys.
