How to Edit Jersey NBA 2K11?

we cannot move the position of the numbers, so you need to find a uniform with the numbers already in their proper position and use that iff file as a base for your custom jersey

using the mod tool you need to open the portraits.iff file

here's the tricky part, in the REDitor (free version works for this) on the players tab there is a Port_ID which tells the game what portrait is assigned to that player from the file. Unfortunately, the portrait file does not follow the same numbering system. So you need to overwrite existing portraits with known port_ID values and give that value to your new player.

Edit, nuts to that, I just found a map of the portraits file, a new tutorial will be posted in the tutorials section soonish.

I'm just having trouble on what files to edit for the jersey.. it crashes when I switch uniforms

Using the Celtics home as an example, uh005.iff and the NBA mod tool.

Texture 2 green top 1024x512 dxt5 alpha channel mipmaps=9
texture 5 numbers 1024x128 bmp none mips=7
texture 7 green shorts 1024x512 dxt5 alpha mips=9
texture 9 top 1024x512 dxt5 alpha mips=9
texture 10 warmups 512x512 dxt1 no alpha mips=9
texture 14 letters 2048x64 bmp none mips=0
texture 15 shorts 1024x512 dxt5 alpha mips=9

Edit the files you want to change. You can keep the same numbers/letters and warmups.

is there an old version of REditor in w/c we are able to edit the items in the "TEAM" tab for 2k11?

You have to purchase the proper license for REditor to be able to edit different tabs. Look at the first page in the REditor post.
