My Player Tattoo questions

I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction as to what I need to do in order to create custom tattoos for my player. I've downloaded images off the internet and attempted to mess with them in photoshop, and import them with mod-tool within the pcarmtats.iff file. ANY help/direction would be greatly appreciated. I've seen a few threads where people are posting their awesome my player's with their own cyberfaces and custom tattoos, and I'm green with envy! Please help, I'm desperate and willing to put in the work!
