My association mode... neat idea... what do you think?

so i started an association mode, with all of the players from the jordan challenge mode teams included. i put them in the free agent pool and made them all rookies. i am basically playing it as if this year was the 1979/80 season, and i signed rookie bird and rookie magic to the celtics and lakers respectively. my idea is to every year sign the "legend" players to the teams they were drafted by... and to create notable players who were drafted those years, perhaps going as far as to editing entire draft classes, but at least the first round picks and notable 2nd rounders. the veteran players that dont resign during my association, i will bump their age and years played back down one year until the year rolls around in which they were signed.
so... old players, who are near retirement wont be resigned at the end of the year, they will be "reborn" so to speak. like, Shaq for instance will be taken back down to age 20, and kept there until 2023/24 season (the equivalent of 92/93 season in my time-line), then i will sign him to Orlando. depending on the years experience for each player, i will then add 20-30 points per athletic attribute to rejuvenate them, so, again using Shaq as an example. i figure this way, with his development potential being a 99, he will grow into a dominant center again, i just had to get him playing like a young buck again.

so of course there will be legends laying alongside current players, but eventually i see it all coming full circle, with todays players all becoming rookie versions again, and i can sign everyone to their first teams and play each season out trying to recreate classic teams and repeat history, or change it as i see fit. anybody else see this as being cool?
