Home court advantage in the finals..

Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:48 am

Lakers have best record in the western conferece, I (bulls) finished 2nd best in the east and the league overall..shouldnt I have home court advantage in the finals? Coz I just started game 1 of NBA finals and Lakers got home court advantage...Bug perhaps? Or is it NBA rule?

If the Lakers won season series against you (which I guess they did), they have the home court for the finals.

i swept them 2-0 and I have a better overall record. the only reason Im seeing is that they are #1 in the west but I am #2 in the east

I'm pretty sure the game is incorrect and you should have home court advantage, as a result of having the better regular season record.

That was what I was thinking too..Oh well, I guess i will just have to "convince" myself that the rules changed and #1 seed in conference gets advantage lol..PLus It'd be nice to celebrate in Chicago XD

did you finish the season best record? cause I think not your only no 2 in the east.

It doesn't matter. If he has a better record than the Lakers, then he should have homecourt advantage. I doublechecked and that's definitely the rule, the fact it's #2 from the East vs #1 from the West doesn't mean anything, it comes down to whoever had the best regular season record.

Yes, it would seem they've made an error.
