Jersey Patches

I've been playing NBA 2K on PC the last 2 seasons and I have enjoyed so many of you guys' patches.

This year, I want to join in on the fun. How do I make jersey patches? How do I get started? I have some great ideas but I don't know where to being.

use iff editor (if your OS id 32 bit) or 3d modtools (if your OS is 64bit) to export/import texture,and photoshop to edit texture..
