But I'm just amusing myself. I like Linas Kleiza. But if he shows himself to be better once the season starts, then they'll fix him in the roster updates.

And my other point is that overall ratings are demented.

Yeah, I agree. I think, if he shows his true skills, 2K will increase his overall. Well, we'll see what will happen.

Kleiza was great at the World Championships in Turkey, especially in the semis against the USA.

In 29min he managed to score 4 points (1-11 FG), grabbed 5 rebounds and had 4 turnovers. 55 overall in NBA 2K11 sounds just about right.

He also had 41 pts against Deron Williams and Utah Jazz squad. The fact that he had one bad (in fact, terrible) game doesn't change the fact that he's a good player. Doing some research sounds about right for you.

Of course, you didn't get my point. You're simply not objective when it comes to Kleiza because you're from Lithuania and probably still high from getting a bronze medal in Turkey. He's good offensive player, a pathetic defensive player and pretty average rebounder. His passing skills are questionable because he rarely passes the rock and because of that he's more prone to turnovers.
Anyway, if he gets a similar role in Toronto like he had in Lithuanian NT, then his overall rating should be higher. We'll see. Nevertheless, who gives a flying fukc about overall rating in the game. You can change it if you want, I don't know why you're making such a big deal.

I'm not, I'm just worried about the online, where you can't change ratings I just don't want him to be missing wide-open layups, which can occur with the rating system that we have. Actually I don't want any player to have any 7 year old skills

As long as his strengths are accurately represented, his overall shouldn't matter that much (same goes for any player). Depending on how the individual ratings are weighted, his weaknesses are probably pulling his overall down lower than is ideal but we'll have to wait until we can actually see the individual ratings to assess the situation and declare a player rated incorrectly.
