Talk about NBA 2K11 here.

Hi guys,
I have downloaded and tried the free version of REDITOR II and tried to move some players from one team to another to create a custom roster.
It doesn't work. If I try to move Rose to the 76ers for example, well Rose will still be on the Bulls roster but only his background picture will show the logo of the 76ers.
Any help?
Thanks a lot

you need to be able to edit the teams tab, which is only accessible with a pay version
if you get that, you edit the rotations of the team to trade/move players, just know its possible to have the same player on multiple teams.
there is no way to do it with the free version, so you're stuck with in-game trading unless you buy it.

Thanks. I don't mind paying for it. I'll wait that the author of REDITOR II is back

just know its possible to have the same player on multiple teams.
Do you mean like having a player in his NBA team but also on the all-star team, or rookie team? Or do you mean something else?

if on the teams tab I placed Paul Pierce's ID as the starting PG for every NBA team, he will be the starting PG for every NBA team.

Another one of Jao's sports fantasies.

Back here with a little problem.
Now that I'm able to change players, I have some problem about their positions. It only happens once in a while, for example :
I add Lebron James as ROT1_SF and Kyle Korver as ROT1_R15. So that means Lebron James as is the starting SF and Kyle Korver is a sub.
Once saved and in the game, Lebron James is starting as a PF and Kyle Korver is starting (he shouldn't) as a SF. How can I change this? I tried to delete Lebron's second position (PF) but it didn't change anything.
It's quite annoying but I'm sure there is an explanation about it.
Thanks

once they are on the proper teams, go in game and adjust the rotations manually. The game is attempting to assume what you are trying to do so just do it manually to fix it.

Fore some reason when I want to fix the rotations manually in the game (Manage Roster -> Rotations) not all the teams show up. How is that possible?

which specific teams arent showing up

I worked on a new roster file and they actually show up now but I have another problem and not the last I think :p
Now, when I ask the computer to rebuild rotations, I sometimes end up with negative minutes or minutes left. And when I start a new season, it doesn't load ... Surely a problem of rotations.
Is there a limit on how much stars, starters, role players etc you need per team? Or can you set everyone to star for example? That could maybe be the problem since starters need minimum 1 minute, they can't have 0. And I think the minutes have to be even numbers also?

No limit. You can set all of your players to be a starters. Of course they will be demanding starter minutes if you do so.
All players assigned to the starting rotation need to have at least 1 minute. Doesn't matter it their roles are bench warmer, prospect, or role player. If you put them in your starting five the game requires that they have at least 1 minute.

Is it possible that if the computer rebuilds rotations he will assign minutes based on their role? Star > Starter > Sixth Man > Role player > Prospect > Bench Warmer

yep, i believe in association it goes by those, and in the regular roster screen it goes by ratings

What Jao said. The cpu also considers the players' stamina rating on how many minutes will be assigned to them along with their player roles and overall rating.

Season loads properly now. That's a big step forward. I still let the CPU rebuild rotations but beforehand I changed with REDitor the minutes assigned to 1 and put each player's role as a bench warmer. CPU rebuild rotations and with a few adjustments from my part, no crash.
There must have been a player assigned to multiple teams and that's what made the season not load at all, IMO.
Next step is too manual adjust rotations for all teams. And if it still works, then I should be done

Is it possible to put the same head coach and staff for each nba team? I'd like to do that so that the overall ranks are based only on the players.
Also, is there a way to let a player start the game on C position and then later sub the PF without doing in manually each game?
Thanks a lot.
