About PC game controller

I bought the PC NBA 2k11. Here is my questions. If I buy pc usb game controller, is it gonna work or no? If it works, Is it gonna be exactly same as playing with Xbox 360 controller or different ? because on the controller it has numbers like 1,2,3,4 instead of letters like X,Y,A,B. So I am just wondering controller will work or no. I don't like to play in the keyboard, it's kind of hard. Also How can I crack the NBA 2k11. I need the crack. I don't wanna use CD, every time when I play it. Please help me guys.... Thank you
