I'm not sure. But it always drops to 3 in the 4th quarter. So don't wait to use them until the 4th.

maybe that's the rule irl? I'm not sure.. I know irl they have 'media' time outs though right. So free time outs basicly, so there is a difference.

Btw I'm not sure about 2k11 because I haven't paid attention to it but 2k10 if you had it on Auto a time out always cost you 2 time outs instead of lol.

They're not free. The first gets charged to the home team, the second to the road team, and so on and so forth.

Well that's just semantics imo. What difference does it make if it's assigned to a team when they don't call it. But I meant those probably make up for the total of 7 as well.

It makes a difference because saying they're 'free' implies they aren't subtracted from a team's total timeouts, which they actually are.

It's reflecting an NBA rule. Teams are limited to three full timeouts in the fourth quarter. If they have more than three full timeouts remaining heading into the fourth, they are lost.

Can't confirm if it's the same in 2K11, but in 2K10 you are limited to 2 full timeouts in the final 2 minutes. If it's the same in 2K11, just a heads up to use that one full timeout before the 2 minute mark.

NastyNacho1 wrote:Doesnt answer where the timeout's left are

Try calling a timeout via the Menu screen and it will show the available timeouts left. It works that way in 2K10.
