EA SPORTS AND UNDER ARMOUR TAKE THE COURT

Postby ThaLiveKing on Thu Aug 22, 2013 8:11 am

didn't see it posted yet, so here's the new game mode

NBA LIVE 14 will feature a brand-new career mode: Rising Star. In Rising Star, gamers will be given the chance to write their own history as an NBA player. Whether it’s modeling your career as a scoring point guard or an athletic big, it’s up to each player to decide how they want to dominate the game and earn Rising Star Points to improve their skills.

The first challenge is making your mark in the EA SPORTS Draft Showcase powered by Under Armour. How well you ball on the Under Armour court will determine your Draft potential, and where you’ll start your NBA career.

Manage your player’s career for up to 25 years in the league, growing from a role-player coming off the bench to an NBA All-Star. When it’s all said and done, will you be the next NBA Superstar?

In addition to in-game integration, EA SPORTS is a key partner for the 2013 Under Armour Elite 24 event in New York. The 8th annual game and activities will take place at, and around, the newly constructed custom outdoor basketball court at the Tobacco Factory in Brooklyn, NY on August 23 – 24. The game airs live on ESPNU at 7 p.m. ET Saturday, Aug. 24.

you forgot the pretty image

those reflections

25 years is plenty of time to force the user to actually go through the bench years.
too bad they are doing an indoor UA court when they mention the real-life outdoor one in the press release
but yea, other than the floor and reflections, nothing else in that screenshot looks next gen unfortunately
Opinions are my own.

Yeah the lighting is definitely nice. People were saying the same thing about Fifa 14 on next gen in the comment section of the Gamecom Demo, they said the game play is pretty much the same as current gen and the lighting and crowd was the only difference they noticed, which looked to be true, the game was shown off screen though

The mode itself sounds promising. I'm guessing it won't be quite as deep as what MyCAREER is currently offering, but they need to start somewhere and having a single player career mode in addition to the more traditional Dynasty/Association style of mode is essential these days.

If you start out with fairly ordinary ratings, that'll probably still be a challenge...at least on harder difficulty settings.

judging by the next gen trailer for fifa, those comments seem correct. they zoomed up on the players and the models and textures looked exactly the same. Karim Benzema looked like he came straight out of the PS3 version. but they had cool outside shots of the arena that looked really nice (but they are a bit unnecessary) and the shots of the crowd made them look very life-like. The crowd looks way better in the next gen version

Didn't they do laser scans for arenas for Live 13 or something?

Where did you hear that?

Edit: Oh Live 13, and yeah apparently they did. That's pretty awesome, maybe they should consider laser scanning people so their player models come with realistic legs.
