An expanded/improved Create-a-Player mode would be a viable solution in the absence of patching on the consoles. As far as updated rosters and the addition of new players are concerned, NBA Live 365 has that covered.

Also, when creating a player, in deciding his shooting form, FT routine etc. include a preview of the different options. I don't know Chauncey Billups' FT routine, I don't know how Al Horford shoots, so a preview of what it looks like would be nice.

Some more realistic looking regen players would be nice. Not all long haired guys with goatees.

Hi Drew,

Well, I decided to pop down under again to see if they'd make NBA Live for PC, but I didn't have my hopes up... And I wasn't that disappointed. Much. This "transition" started with NBA Live 2002 already and it's been going on train tracks ever since. There is no way us players can affect the GM's plots in any way, so we just have to ride the train and see what he (as in EA) has in store for us.

I would really love to play Live again with the enthusiasm we had for the franchise back in the day... I didn't like NBA 2k9, so I'm not giving that company any more of my cash, but would love to play Live again. I just don't see it happening. They said it would come back, but it hasn't and the last couple of NBA Live releases for the PC were just quickly thrown together with as minimal effort as possible. So it's not like we need more of that.

I still do not understand why would you move to a console "controlled" creation of a multi-platform product, since the consoles are limited in their capabilities and the resources are the same every year, it is very hard to bring new innovation in a system like this. If you always had extra resources next year, you could go a little more crazy every year and maybe do something you would have just dismissed as un-doable when you knew the limits of the CPU power etc. when you were brainstorming. I would just like to be a fly on the ceiling looking at this process from back in the day compared to what it is today.

But enough of my yearly rant... Still don't own a console and have no plans of getting one either... Let's just say, the day I read that EA is making NBA Live for the PC again, will be an extremely pleasant surprise! I've given up hope on it. It ain't going to happen, so stop "expecting" it to. There is little point in it. Let them surprise us with GREAT NEWS if they ever choose to do it again.

Well, the current generation of consoles doesn't really limit the game except for interface and the lack of unofficial patches, which is a downer of course but elements like gameplay, Dynasty Mode and graphics needn't suffer. It's a shame we won't have a PC release, it seems unlikely to ever happen but hopefully the game delivers regardless. So long as it delivers the goods, I'll play it on the Xbox 360 if I must.

Overall I think they can make Dynasty Mode a lot more detailed in future games.

What I miss from playing Live 99 is the ability to create up to 4 custom teams. I think it would be fun to be able to create your own team and start a Dynasty Mode game with it as an expansion team. Starting from scratch is an appealing idea to me.

I'd like to see some kind of predicted rating of draft prospects before the draft. For example, your scout could tell you that a player is predicted to be between 70-80 rating. And the more you upgrade your scouting department the more accurate their assessment of the draft prospects are.

What I miss in Live 99 is the comprehensive stat tracking. You can even customize your own stat categories by creating your own formulas based on the available statistical categories in the game.
Also, even though it's Franchise mode is only 10 seasons you can see the season high of players each year and the decrease/increase in their ratings presented by numerical values instead of a graph.

What I've noticed in Live 10, is that sometimes when a player grabs an offensive rebounds, the game stats don't count it unless Marv or Steve say something about it.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to notice. Try playing a game and wait until one of your players (IDK if the same applies to the CPU) gets an offensive rebound. If Marv or Steve say nothing over it, check your game stats and your board crasher will have the same amount of rebounds as before.

Another thing that would be nice is the ability to change teams in the off-season during Dynasty Mode.
Obviously not just to any team you like, but they should have a list of teams without coaches at the end of the season.
You can either choose to re-sign with your current team or pick one of the others that don't have coaches.
Maybe even introduce coach contracts and you only get to choose at the end of your contract.

Yeah, I'd be up for that. You could select any team(s) you wanted between seasons in Franchise Mode from NBA Live 2001-2003 and I do like the idea of getting job offers that was introduced along with Dynasty Mode in NBA Live 2004, but it'd be great to be able to entertain a few offers or switch freely if desired (the latter was still optional in 2001-2003, so it could simply be disabled if you didn't want to ever both with switching).

I think the Magic and Hornets numbers should be fixed in "Elite 11".

Really? I think most people, myself included, would say the opposite. A slight flaw in the jerseys is easily overlooked but a problem with the gameplay is frequently encountered. But to each their own.

I get what you mean kapei22. It's a game breaker for me when the sock colors and lengths are wrong and the headband colors and positioning of the logo are inaccurate. The game is a massive fail because of that.
