Dunking sliders might have to come down a little for sim players though.

I still favour Dynasty Mode myself but I do think it's crucial that Elite has a single player mode (and indeed as many modes as possible, of at least satisfactory quality) because it's expected of sports games these days and it's important that they cater to everyone's tastes.
I must also note something in the latest video that I didn't like, which was the first quarter going immediately into the second after the end of quarter cutscene and the stats screen. I'd rather the game pause between quarters so we can make substitutions and begin the next quarter with a different lineup if desired. A minor gripe in the grand scheme of things but I was hoping they'd change that back after taking the approach of going straight into the next quarter in NBA Live 10.

Pdub wrote:For RTP to shine, they need to have more slight collisions to thwart those dunk attempts because right now we are seeing stuff that was happening years ago with players pushing other players in air with no consequence to the offensive player. I honestly would not mind if they threw in just a couple 2 man animations to stop people from abusing highflyers if they can't get the physics of that down at this point in development.

Pdub wrote:I disagree that the game should pause in-between quarters. I would rather have the current scheme, but with a small overlay in the bottom of the screen during the end of quarter relays. The replays could loop with random camera angles until you pressed a button confirming that you were done with the coaching options.

Andrew wrote:I think the key this year is establishing the gameplay and the physics with enough attention paid to game modes that there is a noticeable improvement across the board and the game is fun and enjoyable. Then you can keep developing the animations along with the new physics, keep expanding the game modes, tweak as necessary, etc. If there's a three year plan in place, hopefully Year 1 is a significant and pleasing step in the right direction and they stay the course, refining what they've got in Years 2 and 3.
