How to change out of bounds and casket colour?

Postby Marek on Sun Oct 24, 2010 9:51 pm

Can anyone tell me which values I should change in hex editing to get dark red out of bounds colour and dark blue casket colour in CLIPPERS court? I just want to create for my 2k10 new 2010/11 season court for the CLIPPS...

Anyone can help? :|

it's a matter of hex editing the iff file, it's not easy and we never 100% figured it out for 2k10

I know it's a matter of editing .iff file...I opened ir with Edit Pad Pro (and Hex Editor also), there was a lot of values, but I don't know which ones are for the court colors...Please note, that all 2010-11 season courts were released for 2k10 (new Cleveland, Orlando, Golden State or Utah court), except CLIPPERS court. There are few people/patchers in here who made and released them, so they exactly knew how to edit these values (and which value represents appropriate colour), that's why I'm asking... :|

they usually stuck with taking colors from another court and imported them into the court they were editing

here are my notes using the base 76ers court

what does work is copying one color from one court to another

in hex in the iff search for 803F030000050F00 those are the indicators for the footers for the out of bounds and lane colors. there should be 24 bytes of data in front of those, those are the colors.

D8E5 4A3B F4BC 5B3C 9E81 823D

in "reality" it is like this

Red---------Green------Blue
D8E54A3BF 4BC5B3C9 E81823D

In hex workshop I goto the base converter, select intel and float (32) as the settings and you convert those values to decimals. usually they will be like 0.0048651154562354 or something. multiply that by 255 (standard rgb scale) and you get RGB of 17,56,214 or something.

again the easier way is to just copy a color from another court and use that. as for the lines, we cant seem to find a header or an indicator for them, so you just need to look for it.

D8E54A3BF4BC5B3C9E81823D

BLUE 0000000052A7103EB4AEE93E

00000000 52A7103E B4AEE93E 76ers 1
0 .14 .46
0 35.7 118

WHITE
0000803F 0000803F 0000803F 76ers 2
1 1 1
255 255 255

Unfortunately I must give in. It's too difficult for me. I opened .iff file for 76ers court, I searched 803F030000050F00 value and I found it, but I can't see such values in there like D8E5 4A3B F4BC 5B3C 9E81 823D

Thank you JaoSming for your willingness to help .
