STILL no success no extracting ALL the global.iff without a crash AND repacking a dds file into it without a "invalid iff file". IFFSET still can't handle big files like this one. Everything ok for shoes, jerseys, cyberfaces but still can't work on global.iff. I saw that there is more people with that problem with that file. Could you guys give it a try and say what happened??

Pdub thanks for the reply man.. anyway.. yeah.. i actually edited the file.. its actually "835DC651_21.bmp".. thats the texture for Melo's cornrow tails.. isnt it must be removed for new melo hair ayt? so, if you can give it a try, the Melo cf id is "png1015.iff".. its clearly named there that the file doesnt have "DXT#" at the end.. so how do you suppose to edit it? thanks anyway..
to others, if you know some way to edit that one for .iff file without using texmod.. please post here.. we badly need it..
Just something I found in the IFF file in the same place where "DXT5/DXT1/DXT3" would have been if it used DXT compression. It had "15" in hex, which is "21" when converted to a decimal. I put 2 and 2 together, and figured that maybe iffset will accept it. It did, and I am glad that the game accepted it, too.
Will nice found Pdub as always but if you look closely to Adam Morrison pic you can see that the old hair shape is still there but in a transparent way you can see that clearly with the DOF effect around the old long hair shape.
I think vhan was already making a new Carmelo and that may be why he was asking for help. Just wait for his. I probably won't make any patches till I figure out more things, so I can make a nice score overlay or something.
Not yet. I would like to wait till we can give a created player their own IFF file so they can get a custom headshape. I also would like to learn more because not all the headshapes are in the same place in each iff file.
I've done it now for Melo Update.. Thanks to Pdub again.. always great stuffs.. Now i have the Melo Update in Iff.. (legtats cant be exported from the Iff file using the iffset..) thats the only problem ramaining..
egilex, the number used for FACE ID is the png number. If it is a generic player, the number is in the 3000's, and you cannot edit their iff file because they do not have one.
2 questions. 1. Can you make a custom portrait for each created player? 2. Can you use a player's hair texture on a custom player? (ex. Roger Mason.) 3. Can we make portraits for ingame players without proper portraits and make it into iff format? (Ex. Roger Mason, damn 2k.)
god damn it. i installed all that stuff that he said and still it doesn't work... it crashes every time i try to export or inport. I got Win Vista Ultimate SP1
