To me it looks like there's some subtle improvements. LeBron's headshape in NBA Live '10 looks a bit more realistic with a more defined jawline.

If you notice on his left arm in Live 10 pic its appears there is muscle tendons from forearm to bicep and the muscle doesn't appear already flexed. The detail in the neck and Adams apple is far better and stands out too. LeBron's face does appear to be more true to life Jersey textures are improved but I still reckon my 1024HD res uniform looks better . Ryan is doing a fantastic job on the new player model designs.

imo, the 09 jerseys looks better and more crisp with '10 lookin a bit fuzzy.

I can't quite make up my mind on the jerseys, both look pretty good to me. I think I'll wait for more screenshots since I'd expect more polishing with that being a work-in-progress screen from '10.

The facial structure does indeed look much better with the 2010 screenshot. Everything else looks marginally better in the 09 one, honestly. Look at the 'Cavaliers' text on the jersey. Small differences, of course- nothing major. But nothing exciting either.

Some elements of the '10 screenshot do look a little blurry but given it's a WIP I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. I don't think NBA Live or 2K have too many letdowns in the graphics overall (we'll probably always be picky about the finer details) but when I think about how far the graphics in video games have come and go back and look at screenshots from the old games, I just can't be too dissatisfied with the players and the environment. That's just me though, for others I realise the graphics are higher on the totem pole.

Jerseys are almost the same. The difference in angle and specular lighting is what is washing out the 10 version, along with what looks like the lack of a normal map, which is noticeable on the depth of the 09 wordmark and trim. That specular lighting is also giving Lebron's skin a noticeable shine and contrast. He also has a multicolored wristband instead of just two white/gray ones. The arena is a bit brighter, and they have replaced the generic flashing team color with a logo going around the arena. The roof light looks a little better.

These screenshots are just killers. I couldn't play both 09 and 10 since I dont have a console so they're really a pain in the ass to see.

Seriously speaking, Live 10's graphic looks a lot more promising to me judging from those two previews. LeBron's facial hair is a lot more detailed, his ears seems to be more detailed, the muscles are more visible and realistic, the jerseys however, doesn't seem to have that much of a difference.

I still don't think NBA Live 09's graphics look cartoonish. Mind you, when people say "cartoonish" these are the kind of graphics I think of:



Which doesn't quite describe the graphics of recent NBA Lives.

Yes, seeing that screenshot certainly brings back fond memories of that franchise.
