Game stuck at loading screen

When I try to play a two person game through "play game" i can select teams and everything but when it tries to start, it gets stuck at the arena loading screen. It doesn't freeze, it just continuously loads - never getting to the game. I can play a game fine in dynasty mode without loading problems. Any ideas are appreciated.

Which console are you playing on? Are you having any issues with any other games?

No other games or even game modes have this problem.
But I think I found a way around it by doing a single player game then adding the second player after the game starts.

Strange. If it's a bug, unfortunately it's not going to be addressed as the dev team has moved on to NBA Elite 11 but I can't recall that issue being posted before.
