all players are rated 0 for dunk/layup frequency

i am not joking here....

go to team management/create player/edit player/customize attributes/inside...

all players rate a zero by default for dunk/layup frequency!

i can post new ratings for this, based on a formula i came up with last year, but i dont know if the dynamic dna updates will effect these ratings. hopefully they will be fixed.

notice EAcrazylegs from the development team was looking at implementing my ratings... maybe he was going to do so, reset the values to 0, the forgot he reset them, then the game shipped??? its the only thing i can think of....

EA should patch this first thing, as apparently a 0 rating means nothing when a player goes up for a dunk/layup!

That is strange. There's a few players that dunk who certainly shouldn't be, if those ratings are already set at zero then we're kind of back to square one...unless it's a dunk package issue.

i cant figure whether zero = more dunks, less layups or less dunks, more layups. its pretty "dunky" as it is... perhaps i will set everybody on a team at 99 dunk/layup and see if the total dunks goes down... then my head will truly be spinning

A value of zero would suggest more layups than dunks, but it's worth a shot to see what's up.

a value of zero should also mean we should have noticed this a while ago as well... as in, no dunking in the game might have given us all a clue. perhaps until the game is patched... this is a non functioning slider?

Quite possible, especially if a value of 99 doesn't do anything either.

strange. the team i tweaked to 99 with all players was Cleveland

James dunked every time he got near the basket, as did Shaq
West, who has a dunk rating of 1 dunked on all 4 of his drives to the basket
Mo Williams never dunked on any of his 7 attempts at the rim his dunk rating is 0

Maybe the global cpu slider has much more of an effect at controlling the frequency than the individual rating, so they put everyone at 0.

Yeah please do because i posted this over at OS about a week ago and didn't get any response from EA. It's strange because 2K has the same thing this year aswell.

I'll try to post the link from OS later. It has both 2K and Live set at zero for all players in this particulat area.

Also, I noticed they finally reduced down every single PG's shooting mentality even most SG's that slide over to PG. I'm talking drastic reductions much like the way i had it setup in ratings threads from Live 08 and Live 09. There are lots of strange ratings I"m seeing in this game after looking at everything more closely now.

With regards to the ratings issues you're running into there have been some problems with the updates that have been put out. The team is working to get this resolved even as I speak with proper ratings for the players. Unfortunately I don't have an ETA but they are working to get it out as soon as possible.

It's an annoying issue but it WILL be resolved.
