Welcome to the official support thread for v1.06 of the current roster update for NBA Live 08, the final update for the 2007/2008 season. The next update will be the first offseason update for 2008/2009.

A new version (v1.06) of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08 has been released and is available to download here. It is the final update for the 2007/2008 season, however at this point I intend to keep updating the rosters at least through the offseason.

Key features of v1.06:
- Final 2007/2008 Season Rosters accurate
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players
- East/West All-Stars Updated
- Rookie/Sophomore teams Updated
- Maek's Fatigue Fix
- Player Accessories Updated

i'm just new here in NLSC and I have downloaded your v1.04 rosters but i found something unusual... Everytime Odom took a shot, my game crashed! weird!

Although I'm not precisely accurate if that crashed comes from odom shot... I have downloaded some other patch like the FSN scoreboard and the Lakers uniform update.

What do you think the source of that game crash?

Anyway, i'm about to download this v1.06 and i have a question... Do i have just to install the .exe file on v1.06? Or do i still need to download the v1.05 and install it?

You only need to install v1.06. I'd say you're using a custom aiact.viv file if you're encountering crashes like that. I've tested the patch and problems like that shouldn't occur if you're using the default aiact.viv file.

Just an update, i have downloaded v1.05 and install it and still same thing happens...

Odom shoot (which seems an awkward shot) then when the ball near the basket, game crash...

You can get the default file from your NBA Live 08 disc.

Just a suggestion.. Why don't you try to add some graphic updates in your next rosters.. It will be great

I'm afraid you'll have to be patient. As I mentioned in a recent news post, I'm currently updating the rosters for three games in the series and just got back in the country to boot, so while I hope to have the updates out soon they will take a little longer than usual.

Hey first of all nice roster patch and second: I noticed that some cyberfaces and portraits are missing. Some are Glen Davis(Boston), Michael Jordan(Dream team), Charles Barkley(Dream team3), and so on. So when they play they don't have a face just the headshape. I don't know if this is just happening to me or if those cyberfaces will be in the next update, can you tell me? Thanks..

Please check Faces Troubleshooting.txt for more info on how to fix that problem if it occurs.

Just getting this new update roster Andrew. Nice work . BTW is Maek fix recommend if i want to have good substition of my game and any sim engine you can recommend?

Maek's fix has already been applied (though perhaps not the latest version?) so the fatigue ratings have already been adjusted. I'm not sure which sim engine fix garners the best results as I don't play NBA Live 08 anymore, sorry.

Since there won't be a NBA Live 09 for PC.

Do you think it's possible to change the Years Pro from the rookie class with Kevin Durant etc. to 1 Year pro?

So when you include the new rookies (Beasley, Rose etc.) in the roster update they are the actual rookies and the game sees Durant as 1 Year in the league?

And how about the team of Oklahoma City.. Is it possible to change the Seattle team into Oklahoma (and it's upcoming new team name)?

Yes, the Years Pro will be updated for everyone who played in the league last year. Players like Greg Oden who missed the whole year will remain the same though.

I can easily change the Sonics' name, though I'll have to rely on someone else to make the necessary art updates.

And are you waiting to release your latest patch till that happens (Sonics name changes and someone making the jerseys and logos)?

No, I'll probably just change the city name to Oklahoma City and then see what happens. There's still a lot of offseason to go where I can update things like that, I wouldn't hold up the release just to find out the Sonics' new name. If it is announced before the next release then it will include the new name but probably not the art.

Andrew, thank you for your great job. It's impossibile play NBA' 08 without your patch. Now I'm waiting Chicago with Derrick Rose, Portland with Oden, Phi 76 with Brand, Tor with O'Neal etc... I hope it would be great season

Thanks andrew.. I just want to ask for an estimate for the release of the roster update of NBA Live 07 for 08-09 season. I prefer playing NBA Live 07 than 08 so I really hope that you would continue your updates for NBA Live 07.. I'm really excited with all the offseason transactions happening which would really make next season interesting especially in the Eastern conference..

Is it true that there will be no NBa Live 09 on PC? Why?

Yes it's true, NBA Live 09 will not be released for the PC. You can read more about that in the NBA Live 09 section.

i agree with this actually, cause nba live 09 isnt coming out for the pc, so for us pc users v1.07 is like the holy grail

I have both Live 06 and Live 08 installed and for me the Live 06 PC Project is the holy grail because in the end Live 06 is better than Live 08 for most parts.
