San Antonio changes name and look

SAN ANTONIO, TX - In an unexpected move, San Antonio Spurs General Manager RC Buford that the team will change it's name to the San Antonio Stallions, with it changing to a new set of logos and team colors.

According to Buford, the team made that move to usher a new chapter in the franchise's history. "It is time to move forward to a modern age, and we felt that a new look and name would help our motives" states Buford.

The teams colors as seen in the logo are now a mix of dark red, black and a few shades of gray. "As you can see, we added a new color which is red symbolizing that we are moving forward to a new generation, but at the same time we still managed to retain the black and gray color scheme that we are all so familiar with to show that we are still rooted on the legacy that we built with great players of the past such as George Gervin and David Robinson" Buford stated.

The general manager also mentioned that the new team uniforms will be unvieled in a future press conference.

When asked about the new team name and look, Argentinian shooting guard Manu Ginobili said that he favored it and, with the additions of recently signed Michael Finley and Nick Van Exel, he looks forward to next season where the San Antonio Stallions will defend their crowns as the NBA World Champions.

i'll post the update soon enough. still finishing some stuff up. it's for 2006 btw just like clippertalk. but I plan to play a few preseason games on 2005 so as to have something to do while I don't have 2006 yet.

That's interesting. San Antonio Stallions instead of San Antonio Spurs. I like your first post, is just like a computer game menu where you can click on it. I also like the new logo. Keep up the good work.

lol. it's not supposed to be a menu... it's just I haven't filled it up yet. they're supposed to be just headers. sorry to disappoint. if only the forum, supported flash, i'd have had so many stuff made.

Stallions doesnt sound too modern to me

hehe. better than spurs IMO. couldn't think of a better name that I can make a logo with that at the same time fits with the texas environment. the whole article things just my try on justifying the logo change. just wanted to make a new set of logos and colors.
