Create custom team

Hello all,

I've created my own custom team with some good players from the NBA.
I've also created a home and an away jersey for my team.
First I put those 2 jerseys in the team Adidas files. But then team Adidas plays also in my jerseys.
My question is: what files do I need to edit to get my own logo and my own jerseys in game
I tried logos.viv and jerseys.viv in the folder fe and ****home.viv and ****away.viv in sgsm\uniforms.
What files do I need to change anymore?

Another question is: how do I get my team name in screen at the start of the game, instead of team Adidas

EDIT1: I now also put in my logo in sgsm\common\logos.viv, still doesn't work.

EDIT2: When I do play game, and I choose my team, there is no logo. When I select continue, the continue button disappears. At player selecting, there are no pictures of players. Stadium select goes well. Then I start the game and then it crashes...

have you edited the teams.dbf and the teamgear.dbf at all?

if you create a new team you also need to do location and coach.dbfs as well

Trying changing the TEAMCODE to 14.

Doesn't work. This happened:

Loaded new roster
Play game
Team choosing (no logo)
No pictures at players
No picture at stadium select
Loading game freezes
Alt-Tab
Error message:

This was a mistake of me.
When I updated my roster I forgot to copy the player appearances of my team.
Then I copied them.
Started game
Loaded new roster
Play game
Team choosing (no logo)
No pictures at players
No picture at stadium select
Start game
Loading game
Crash...

But why not teamcode to 13? That's the same as Team Adidas.

Sometimes those values also affect how the name text is displayed in-game. You could also try TEAMCODE 6.

Teamcode 6, 13 and 14 don't work.

But when I set teamabr2 to ad, teamabr4 to adid and teamcode to 13, it works.

I think I miss some artwork, but I don't know what.

The game will load properly with just about any missing textures except jerseys and courts.

What is unihalf?

unihalf was used in 05 and 06 as low resjersey alternates. There is no reason for it to be in 07/08 but they left it in there

if you got an appearance crash like that it means your appearance DBF is messing up.

try making a copy roster of your team with NBA players on it or go into practice mode with a player on the team to see if it works.

Appearance is already fixed.

Did you just copy and rename the adidas art (.viv) files? If so, the files inside the .viv would still have the old names (eg adidhome.fsh) and thus won't load properly, even though the .viv matches the new team abbreviation. Same thing with the logos I believe, you need to actually hex edit them to change the abbreviation that they use.

I renamed all the files inside the vivs and bigs. So that can't be the problem.

I'm out of ideas at the moment but if anything comes to mind I'll post it. In the meantime, if anyone else has any ideas for RdJ that I've overlooked, please feel free to post them.

What are apt, const and ebo-files?
Do I need to edit them?

you dont need to bother with them, they deal with locations on screen and aspect ratios of the logo.
