Hey Pdub,

I've been using your sliders and I have to say they are pretty realistic. However can you advise me some slider changes to make it more difficult for me to score? Of course without having to change the difficulty setting as Pro is good.
I have not lost a game with the Thunder, and I have played the Raptors, Bucks, Nets and Knicks. I seem to always find a way to keep myself in the lead or comeback from a 5-10 point deficit in the second quarter.
The CPU is also stupid. Is there a way to fix that. Every time the CPU has a chance to win the game they make a STUPID decision. Against the Raptors, 3 seconds left, down 3, 111-108, they inbound to Bosh in the corner, pass it back to the inbounder who shoots a 3 from between the 3-point line and the half-court. And against the Nets, they are down 2 and Carter drives in, easy lay-up BUT dishes it out to Yi for the jumper, and he tries to drive but the clock expires!

I've had some stupid situations also, and experienced the same thing. Maybe turning up the offensive awareness in the cpu attributes sliders will help. Although, during a finals game with the same slider, the cpu made a great inbounds play to Michael Redd in the corner for 3 which tied the game.

You can also try not changing offensive awareness and turning on clutch factor, and playing a game. From there, you can adjust the cpu clutch factor slider depending on how easy or hard the game was.

You can also try increasing a couple sliders for the cpu's defense, if you feel you are getting certain baskets too easily. Maybe defensive awareness, or if you are getting too many assists or find it too easy to make certain passes, the "play passing lanes" tendency slider. I recently increased help defense to 100 for both user and cpu for testing, and have had two very close games in the preseason of my second season. First game went to triple OT, where I had a chance to win the game in the first two overtimes, failing, and a chance to tie in the third overtime, failing once again. Second game was pretty close until the end.

So the higher the Clutch factor slider the harder it is (for the CPU)?

Well, from my early experience with Clutch Factor set to on, the CPU would knock down almost any shot when they were losing. Of course the slider attribute for clutch factor can probably make it more lifelike. I haven't tried turning it on yet, as I have had 3 very close games of late. If it gets too easy, I might consider it.

Main Menu->Features->My NBA->Sliders

There are also the Coach Profiles which edit the tendencies for a team, and foul frequency settings at the NBA Rules screen.

Whenever you start a game, switch to the CPU's team using your controller or the keyboard controller and going to Options and then Coaching Settings and switch Substitution to Rotation and then switch back the controller.

I dont want to play a 12min game to have a realistic stats.

I want sliders recommendations for 8 min game and

teams score around 100 points.
Have around 40 rebounds each team
Have fg 43-53%
have 3pt 32%-43%
have 4-9blocks
have 5-11 steals
have 14-18 fouls
have around 10 turnovers
and especially have 18-26 assist not over 30

All these in a 8min game. Are there sliders which give those stats?

I've changed a few things from the slider setting i've posted up here before, so check it out and hopefully u guys have fun.

BTW, this gameplay slider is for 10mins on the PRO difficulty.

hahaha it appears that GuCcI08 just beat me to it, i'm sure both of our sliders will result in satisfactory results.

Did you use the slider file that i just uploaded? I tend to give the CPU the advantage on Offense since I'm playing on PRO.

My Offense sliders are:

User/CPU
Close: 33/38
Mid: 50/59
3PT: 48/51
Layup: 46/49
Dunk: 50/50
Dunk in Traffic: 50/50
Screen Success: 55/55

Just an update, If you are using my gameplay slider in the above link, you should change slider of "CPU Close-shot tendency" to 33 (I just realized 23 was too low and I saw the CPU opponent wait for the shot clock to wind down and finally shooting a 3 but raising it to 33 eliminated this)

So it's important to raise the CPU Close-shot tendency slider from 23 to 33 if you are using my slider.

EDIT: I had to turned back the CPU offensive awareness back to 32 cause the CPU sometimes would purposely wait till the end of the shot clock to shoot, If Offensive Awareness is too high, the CPU 2ndary players are going to look to score more than the Superstar of the team but if it's too low, the team will purposely shoot late in the shot clock at times. But you must change the opponent's playbook to "ALL PLAYS" as well when you play a "Quick Game" (press 3 on your keyboard and change the HOME/AWAY playbook) to make the Superstars of the opponent's team be the focus of attention. Here is the adjust gameplay sliders http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6WM4S2M3, just remember to set the opponents playbook to "all plays" by pressing 3 on your keyboard.

What do you suggest the game speed to be for 5 minute quarters? higher or lower? i have it at 70 my scores end up in the no more than the mid 50s against the cpu and usually in the low to mid 40s, low to mid 30s on a bad night, i never blow out the cpu they're score is always close to mine when I win but they blow me out once in a while
