Help !!! Can't get rosters to load Andrew

Wed Nov 26, 2003 8:21 am

I'm running Win XP, I followed your instructions in the readme. Installed to
documents/settings/my documents/nbalive 2004/saves. The default roster was 000, so I changed it to 001 remembering how it was on live 03,
you had to rename the folder. I start the game and now I have 2 roster files that say 000 with the same date 11-24-03. I click load and its the same roster I had from the start. Loading rosters use to be easier than this. Can someone help a brother out? Also, I tried to delete one of the two files, Its says delete successful, click ok, go back , its still there. Go figure.

Due to data stored in save.dat, you cannot simply rename the saves folders anymore. If you have a game or another roster stored in slot 000, you will have to load it and save it to a new slot before you install the NLSC roster patch.

Even though you renamed the save folder, the save.dat file was still linked to slot 000. Therefore, when you started the game, it recognised two save slots as being slot 000. The renaming method used to work in NBA Live 2000, but is now unsuitable.

Delete your saves manually, then re-install the rosters.

Dont know what to say, I still can't get the rosters to load. The only ones that show up are the default rosters, that I made a few changes to as far as trades and the like. I didn't edit them. The first file still has crazy looking numbers and letters for a file name. And when I try to delete it, it doesnt delete. Its still there. Sorry to keep buggin you Andrew.

Not sure what the problem might be, but somewhere along the line something's really gone wrong. You'll probably have to manually delete the roster saves (both of them), re-install the game and re-install the roster patch. If you have any other saves, back them up, but they shouldn't be deleted when you uninstall/re-install.
