I don't know much about modding, so I don't know if this is doable. I also did not play 06 (but did play 00, 04, and 07).
Three things that always nagged me were the inconsistency and accuracy of the season and playoff simulations and, team management logic, and since NBA Live 2000, the absence of a graph that charted all of the players' skills over time. It would be wonderful if I simulated the 2008-2009 season 20 times and the only teams to end up first place in the west were the Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, or Spurs (It would also be great if these teams made the playoffs each time as well). I also expect the worst teams to not make the playoffs etc... It would also be wonderful if I simulated the 2009 playoffs 20 times and there was some consistency in how the playoffs progressed. For example, I would hope that no more than 4-5 teams would win the NBA Championship, and I would hope that the Celtics won their first round matchup. I just want to get the feeling that the simulation is actually simulating what would happen in these playoff matchups.
Since I did not have NBA Live 2006, I do not know how good CPU Team Management was. I just recommend that y'all pay attention to it and address any known issues. I see other people have posted similar things, but it deserves reiterating: gameplay is more important than graphics.
While the first two things I do not know are doable, what is doable is the addition of a line graph just like in NBA Live 2000 that charts a player's development in all skill categories. This was an extremely beneficial tool to pay attention to when trading.
I am so happy to see that y'all are creating a game for the PC community. I appreciate all the work y'all are putting in to make the game
. The first two things I suggested are critical components to a basketball franchise mode that should be payed attention to (if possible). The third is a nice addition that hopefully is not too difficult to do ( I really don't know how hard it is).
Thank you
