in my own experience, i havent seen the limit...so as far as i know there is no limit...

The game will automatically prune players from the Free Agents pool when you start a new Dynasty but apart from that there's no limit.

Apparently you can just keep assigning ROSTERPOS values beyond 14 (which is the 15th roster slot), but I'm not sure whether the game likes it or not. Doing things like that usually results in a crash or other weird behaviour.

There's your answer, peres; you can't successfully, so don't.

the advisable thing to do is to fill the roster in the game and not dbf so that you can be sure that you don't exceed 15 in assigning players for a certain team...

i've read somewhere that and I quote,

"As much as possible, If you can do it in the game, don't do it through dbf"

Indeed. Just leave the additional players in the Free Agents pool; once teams make their cuts leading up to the regular season you can update the team rosters as necessary.
