She's 81 years young. Just visited her wake yesterday night after work. I'm glad that all her pains will be washed off. She suffered from mild stroke but she died in her sleep, like she slept and never woke up from it - the same way my grandfather (her husband) died.

Wow, that's two amazing coincidences

Like you said, at least she won't suffer from the pain anymore. It's horrible to see a family member in pain and knowing there's nothing you can do about it.

A few hours after my grandmother's interment, my uncle, who has suffered a lot from lung cancer, passes away. Tough times doubled.
Thu Jul 10, 2008 11:08 am
Damn, that's a lot in short amount of time. I'm sorry to hear that, man.

The Xbox 360 hardware is a fucking atrocity. By far the most pathetic excuse for a console's lifespan. Two and a half months since getting my second Xbox, now I get disk read errors, which get more and more frequent.
Tue Jul 22, 2008 8:28 pm
check the discs blah blah blah
what really helped me was switching from horizontal to verticle, or vice versa.
I rarely get them anymore, but I had a good month where it would happen every 30 minutes or so and switching it like that seemed to help at the very least...
Or you can wait it out till the fall update and install your fave games to the harddrive, heh.
Wed Jul 23, 2008 5:22 am
thank god for playstation. despite the inferior interface.

I have tried 2 years to get NBA Live 07 to work with Vista!
Wed Jul 23, 2008 6:12 am
ok, that is it dude, you're pissing me off, I am going to get home from work and either prove your ass wrong by installing it successfully or shove one hell of a foot in my mouth.
Wed Jul 23, 2008 7:49 am
heeeeey buddy

guuuueeeesss what?
07 worked
All i had to do was install it, patch it, then play it, horrah
Wed Jul 23, 2008 8:21 am
Now you got me mad!

I washed off the disc and it still persisted. Then I read that clearing space on your hard drive helps for some reason, so I deleted a few unnecessary demos and after 3 hours of play, it worked.
Install favorite games to the hard drive? Are you serious? Can't you just rent or borrow a game and put it on?
Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:26 am
You still have to have the disc in. The main point is to cut out the noise from the DVD drive and maybe reduced loading times. But the 120 GB HDD is prohibitively expensive and I've only got a 20 GB, so meh.
Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:33 am
Oh. Well that is lame.
Wed Jul 23, 2008 10:44 pm
I am probably going to spend the money I had saved for a PSP on the 120gig HDD just because of this harddrive install situation. I am running ~1.5gigs free now but I really want to take advantage of this.
Just think, now we can play Saints Row without this happening.

Ugh. I couldn't even play Saints Row because of that glitch. Happened every 10 minutes.

Was a shit game anyway.

I've turned into a temporary graphic artist for the school I'm working for as a professor. And I've been spending my nights here for the second time. Straight from class without sleep.
Here is the link to that thing I've been doing for a school event.

After being gone for two days, me and my family come back home to find one of our cats dead, and the other missing (and because there is a very busy street right on front of our house, where they got out, is almost certainly dead). I know they are just cats, but oh my god, this is fucked up.
I'm most worried about how my mom will take this though. They were the greatest cats we ever had, and to lose both at once is just agonizing.

That's terrible, sorry to hear it lamrock.
