backin down..

i dont really think theres a point in backin down anymore.. whenever u try, u jus get tagged wit a o foul. this really reduces the presence of centers and pf's in my mind.. whuts everyone else think?

well, whenever I use my center to back down his opponent, the other team's guard will run up to him with LIGHTNING SPEED and steal the ball from him even before he starts to dribble. What the hell???

well it is hard to get a good post up in live 2003. You get a foul because the other player presses the take charge button, so when you back them down, you end up knocking them over. This is especially useful when you bring a guard over, and press the take charge button also.

I usually do the quick post. Just hold the post-up button for one sec, then go into your move. i.e. spin away, go drive to the hole, or pass the ball out to the wing.

interesting to read this as i dont have the same problems as you guys...i am using felipe's patch v1.5, (with a couple of my own little tweaks)...so maybe this makes a diff ?? also, r u talking about human vs human or human vs cpu play?

i play with the rockets in human vs cpu & have a fair bit of sucess in the blox with yao, mo taylor & to a lesser extent with kenny thomas & eddie griffin & cato....i get very few charges against me...the hook shot is a good one, (esp w yao)...also try the turnaround jumper or quick spin moves 8). sometimes the guard steals from me but just like in real ball...i am learning thats when you kick it back out to yer pg/sg & make an honest man of the little shit by canning a couple of tre'pute's on the prick...or swing it around the horn to yer waiting bomber in the opposite corner, (in my case glennnnnn riiice baby).

Me too when i play with my friend he always press the take charge when i post up and going for a hookshot and the result Off. foul (100% )
sometimes i fake him out by post for 1sec and spin away and only work if u not double team yet and ur foward is moblie
when i use LAClippers shit my elton brand useless on the off side playing with my friend damn and my friend never post up cause he don't know how shit no revange haha

they got to fix this bug in up coming patch

Mix up your moves. If your friend tries to take the charge every single time, just drive past him for a dunk. When he stops trying to take the charge every time, you can start backing him down.
