v1.12 released...

Wed Oct 29, 2003 6:49 pm

New in v1.12:
- Opening Night 2003/2004 Rosters
- Coaches.dbf Updated
- Some player ratings and data updated

Download it here.

You'll notice the new coaches use other face files (eg Hubie Brown uses David Stern's face) as filler. If that isn't to everyone's liking, I'll just revert back to the old cyberfaces but keep the updated names. For coaches who are already in the game but have changed teams, I've made the appropriate changes.

As usual, please base all feedback on the current version. In the next update, I hope to update some more player ratings, and possibly the salaries/contract lengths.

Enjoy! :D

G'day Andrew
I've tried installing the new patch several times yet it isn't doing anything. I downloaded it again and still failed to create the new 'save' folders for the desired slots. I was wondering if you knew why this is so and how I can fix it? I'm not sure if it has anything to do with running on windows XP or not? I know that I'm not installing it to the wrong folder or anything. Let me know what you think the problem is or if I can get the patch by another means. (only really want the NLSC 03-04 season patch)

Cheers
Ty

I just tried re-installing the previous version of the patch and that is not working either so I have no idea whats going on. So I'll try restarting my PC and then see if that helps. Never had a problem like this before, so I hope it is something menial.

Thanks for the notes dreadd41, I'll make sure that info is corrected in the next update.

mugs,

There shouldn't be any problems when using XP, as the roster now uses a Windows setup wizard rather than an MS DOS batch file. When you install the roster patch, are you selecting the correct folder when prompted to do so? Some XP users must install the patch to same folder as Win 98 users (C:\My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves) while others must specify a different path.

If all else fails, just install the patch anywhere (C:\Roster Patch for example), then copy the folders (000, 001, 002 and 003) to your NBA Live 2003 saves folder, overwriting the old data.

Thanks andrew,
just installed it anywhere and it worked. No idea why it worked in didn't work the usual way. Have to look into that. Thanks again

When you installed it, which folder did you specify when prompted?

I'll up his ratings a little.

Holla Andrew! I was wondering that maybe you'll work a little on few players dsstats.
John Salmons-He's always averaging 4-5 ppg(even if I change that careerpkg to A) he should average something around 10 points,5rebs and 2-3 assists.
Tayshaun Prince-same problem as above....

:P

Isn't Salmons starting while Glenn Robinson serves a five game suspension? He'll probably be back to the bench with lower stats by the time I release the next update.

I'll give Prince a few more games to establish his numbers, then I'll replace his current Dstats with projected 2003/2004 stats.

yeah,it is so but he should get lil' better ratings cause he will get more PT under new coach Randy Ayers!

Sangaila's nick is Di, his birthplace is Marijampole, Lithuania.

Fri Nov 07, 2003 6:10 am

I think you should increase Udonis Haslem's ratings. He's scoring pretty decent for the Heat and he should be around 74.

Boozer

Fri Nov 07, 2003 10:22 am

In the new patch, is Boozer's weight rate updated? A lot of times they still list him as 285, when really he's about 250 now and abit quicker.

Sat Nov 08, 2003 5:55 am

Also:

- Sofoklis' nickname should be "Baby Shaq"
- Some players in free agency have blue eyes when they should have black/brown
- Trade Jahidi White from Washington to Pheonix for Brevin Knight

All suggestions/corrections duly noted.

Hey Andrew,
It's been a long time since I last posted. But New Season, more posts. I cant seem to download it off of Fileplanet, is there any mirrors?

Thanks

Wed Nov 19, 2003 11:48 am

I've answered your PM, but in case other people have experienced the same problem:

FilePlanet has a habit of returning a File Not Found error, even though the file has been uploaded and the URL is correct. If you encounter this error, go back in your browser and click Download again.

Andrew, will you release a new roster update for 2003? if you will, can you add corrected opening night rosters? i really like to play with them...

Thu Dec 25, 2003 5:03 pm

As I've said elsewhere, there's no time frame for the new Live 2003 rosters, but I will release a new version ASAP.

Sat Dec 27, 2003 1:49 am
