Regarding stats
what is offensive awareness?
whats the difference between quickness and speed?
whats hardiness?

I only can say that offensive awareness is how quick a player gets to the basket
(without the ball) when starting a fastbreak.

Offensive Awareness traditionally has been a rating to determine how good/intelligent a player is offensively. In terms of how it is applied in NBA Live 06, it factors in a player's scoring average during simulation and is also part of the criteria for Inside/Outside Scorer Freestyle Superstars.

The Speed rating traditionally refers to a player's footspeed, ie how fast they can sprint from point A to point B, while Quickness refers to a player's lateral quickness and ability to explode past defenders. Once again, their most noteworthy application in NBA Live 06 is that they're criteria for Freestyle Superstars abilities.

Hardiness is a rating that determines a player's likelihood of getting injured. The higher the rating, the less likely he is of suffering an injury.

Well, in theory players with higher offensive awareness should get themselves in the best position to score so it might factor into that. I haven't seen a great deal of difference when it comes to fastbreaks though.
