Bleh, we don't need to bump five month old threads. He should just start a new one, like many of the "questions" in this thread. But now he won't and nobody knows what we're talking about because it's a new page.

Wed Apr 16, 2008 5:41 pm

Well, I was just thinking he could just read it and find his answer. But yeah, all these officals thread make everything all stuck together and people don't make as many threads.

Wed Apr 16, 2008 5:49 pm

What the fuck are you two talking about.

But there is no lone "answer" to his question. It is not the type of question I assumed this thread is for. The "Have You Random NBA Question Answered, or I Don't Know How to Use Google" Thread.

Any sort of opinion "question" should be made into a thread, so people can discuss it, instead of packing it all into one, where a bunch of stupid discussions talk over each other.

Is Richard Jefferson really gay?
Who will win the NBA Championship this year?
Is NBA going to go global anytime soon?
Do you think foreign players ruin the prettiness of the game with their fundamentals?

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:08 am

1.wtf...?
2.My pick is Boston, but there is a lot of options
3. I think NBA wanted to make a separate league in China, NBA China or something in late future
4.No, I don´t think so

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:11 am

You don't? Lemme ask you this though.. Would you rather watch Rock play against Kalev or Boston play against Lakers?..

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:15 am

Boston vs Lakers, but I don´t get what you´re saying. I said I would rather watch NBA with foreigners than NBA without foreigners, it´s just most of best players in the world is in one league, is that the way I prefer. By the way you´re also Estonian?

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:41 am

Yeah disregard that whole question I just wanted to give you a hint that I'm Estonian too.. But I always hated how people started talking in their native language in random threads so I thought of an alternative way to let you know

Thu Apr 17, 2008 4:54 am

Another Estonian. What's with all Estonians in every other computergame forums. Damn, shame. :( That's why our national team isn't really good. Lol, j/k. Good to see another Estonian.

lol, manute bol being on the list is a pleasant surprise. I was thinking originally of bill laimbeer and terry mills. turns out terry mills started playing only in the 90-91 season, and is listed as 6'10. close though.

sam perkins, aka big smooth did not develop a 3 point shot until the end of his career. he had the "flat footed" 3.

Random NBA Question: Who was the first NBA Player to attempt a tear drop shot?

He was also 6-9, and one of many who benefited from the line being moved in. And playing with the Sonics.

I don't know if there is a way to find out.

YOU'RE BIASED AND HAVEN'T WATCHED EVERY GAME?

It's first usage no doubt pre-dates most of the popular examples because it's hard to imagine the shot (or one very much like it) wasn't utilised in over a century before the smaller guards of today made it popular, but going back to the previous decade Tim Hardaway tended to use a tear-drop like shot, often after his famous killer crossover. That's not to say he invented it but he probably helped popularise it with players of similar stature that followed him.

really? I could've sworn he was like 6'11" or 7'. maybe it was because he played Center for the Sonics & pacers towards the end. No wonder those Sonics teams had a tough time winning in the west. No one could rebound on the team.

Until they traded away Kemp, the George Karl Sonics were never outrebounded.
