Man, the rookie class in your dynasty are great man.. McDonnell of the Warriors scored 19 and of course your rookie Lloyd had 23...

And too bad for Manu, after scoring that much and still lose the game, that has gotta be a heartbreaker.

Thu Mar 27, 2008 11:30 am

Yikes; tough loss; but you are still six games above .500; and the Warriors are good (in real life heh). Looking forward to the stats!

Thu Mar 27, 2008 5:42 pm

Manu's 41 point production was a big OUCH!

Thu Mar 27, 2008 5:52 pm

Though loss there mate, hoping you bounce back

Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:07 am

A shame that your team lost. You have a great team, so you will bounce back. :D

Fri Mar 28, 2008 9:08 am

A shame you lost despite Manu's big game but at least you were in it until the end. Lloyd hitting that three would have been a great moment in his young career...I did notice he was 0/3 for the game from beyond the arc though. Any reason you went to him instead of Manu, who was 3/7?

Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:54 am

Great game by Manu! Tough loss by your team..
I was just about to ask Andrew's same question.
But it figures Manu would've been the obvious choice in Don Nelson's mind.

Thu Apr 03, 2008 5:44 am

Can't wait for the next update! Heh, I've been working on my hawks dynasty the past few days, and I'm realizing how similar mine is getting to yours. :P Damn you and your amazingly polished presentation.

what a pitty, u shouldnt loose that match man, when manu scores that much the team may win.
anyway, nice to see u keeping lloyd as a starter

WHAT!? Warriors all the way! Haha its allrigth man. Yeah Manu really put the team on his shoulders, but it still didn't work out...

Yup it was a great rookie class, although I am working on decreasing the ratings of most rookies so that they don't dominate the league...

Yeah, Warriors are still tough... Thanks for checking in....

Yup, sadly Manu couldn't put the team over the top.....

Yeah, the play was designed for Manu (3-point SG), but there wasn't enough time on the clock, so Lloyd was forced to chuck it up. Although he has a decent rating in 3 point shooting (around 75), he is shooting about 5/45 from 3-point range this season....

Don Nelson? You mean Dunleavy? Haha thanks for checking in..

Haha thanks man. (after all those comments of "This is a carbon copy of Chasers" we'll see how yours turns out. Looks solid to start...

Guys, I lied Stats will have to wait until next update. The Xbox 360 version does not have the best interface to take screenshots of Stats, its complicated. Anyways next game update should be up today!

DAMN IT! Lol, I keep thinking of the Warriors..
It's nice to see an update! It's been awhile..
Anyways, nice win. Good luck against Detroit!

great match! we love this manu :D
nice to see u back man (Y)

Sun Apr 06, 2008 11:54 am

Wow! Manu is really carrying the load for your team..

Mon Apr 07, 2008 8:30 am

Another great win. You managed to beat Sacramento, something Denver, a team deep in a playoff race couldn't do. Can't wait for STATS and the next update.

I hope my dynasty goes well (7th time's a charm, though I suppose my Warriors and Blazers dynasties were minor successes). I doubt I'll be able to top yours, but at the very least, I want mine to be good. Unfortunately, my game's offseason was completely retarded.

Here's to not being a carbon copy of Chaser!

Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:19 pm

Nice win mate  Hope you made a deep playoff run

Tue Apr 08, 2008 8:06 pm

Haven't been around this part of the forum in a long while.

Pretty sick dynasty you got here. I'm loving the format of the recaps. I'd never be able to pull recap formats like that ever. Simply because I'm too lazy to learn image editing... (unless making snazzy recaps like that are easier than I think they are)

Lloyd's a great rook. He'll help this Clipper team to become a contender for a long time. Pretty solid team you have here.

I'll be following this. (Y)

Nice job, haven't read for a while, no time, but this is something worthy. :) Good game there, good luck against the Pistons !

Wed Apr 09, 2008 7:49 am

Fine win, you delivered another pounding on the boards in that one.

Thanks, and sorry to abandon you guys again, but my as you may have heard my 360 crapped out, expect a delay of about another week...

He's quite the player yeah

Lol sorry, now I definitely can't provide stats in the near future since my 360 is broken. Also you're atlanta one was going well until your 360 broke too!

Thanks man, glad to have a new viewer. Once you have the template set up it doesn't really take that long anymore. Anyways keep following and commenting (Y)

That probably was the key in the game after all..

Story update coming up to hold you guys off until I get another game update!

Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:11 am

Hmm... story updates to fill the void. Good idea. :D When I'm not doing my mini-Dynasty with 2K6, I'll have occasional updates to mine too.

Look forward to what you have going on with the story. Stupid RROD.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:19 am

Actually I don't have the RROD, my disc drive just stopped working. Its ok though, because Best Buy is letting my keeping my hard drive, and as soon as they receive my console, they will send me a gift card equal to the what I paid for originally. Since when I bought mine in November '06 it cost $399.99 plus tax, and I don't need to buy another hard drive, I will just buy the $249.99 version, thus saying me about $150!

Happy Holidays...?:

"And Manu hits again!" Ralph Lawler, the Clippers play-by-play announcer exclaimed as Ginobili nailed another 3-pointer against the Kings. "I don't know if I've ever seen him play better than he has been the last couple games," Lawler continued. Jim Fayer pumped his fists as he turned off the television. His team was really on a roll now, and everything was going as planned. Ginobili was scoring. Kaman was rebounding. Smith was dunking and Lloyd was doing everything. Buzzz. Fayer's blackberry vibrated. He opened it up to read:

Image

Mike Dunleavy for Shaun Livingston and Jarron Collins. Hmm... interesting. Senior coaching junior? Oh they could surely market this!
"Jane, get me some stats on how Mike Dunleavy is doing for the Pacers this year," Jim said over his office phone.
"Sure thing Mr. Fayer, one second," Jane responded.
Jim played around with his hands while he waited.
"Uhm... Dunleavy is averaging about 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists, sir." Jane said, interrupting Fayer's daydream.
"Thanks a lot Jane," Jim said as he hung up.

Dunleavy certainly was having the best year between all the players involved, and he was doing basically as well as Livingston and Collins combined. Livingston was averaging only 7.8 points and 6.1 assists, and Collins had played in only one game all year. On the other hand, Cuttino Mobley was averaging 9.8 points already in limited minutes backing up Ginobili, and well he was averaging over 22 points per game. Dunleavy was doing statistically better than Josh Smith was this season, but that's only because Smith's stats were down due to playing on a team with so many other versatile players. Fayer suspected Dunleavy's would too. The former Blue devil was putting better numbers on a worse team so it was hard to judge how he would do in LA. Fayer also wondered, how Dunleavy would adapt to a reserve role, as he remembered how in 2006, when Don Nelson would bench Dunleavy, he would struggle. He also played poorly in Nelson's run-n-gun game, the type of tempo the Clippers liked to now play. "Hey.. uh.. Jane could you send Donald down here, tell him I got urgent news please." "Certainly, Mr. Fayer, one moment please."

Jim continued to try and picture Dunleavy in a LA uniform. Tim Thomas would probably have to be shipped out, since then there would be just too many forwards on the team. Thomas was clutch though, Dunleavy was not, nor had he had much playoff experience. There was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Jim acknowledged.
"Hey, Jim what's the big news?" Sterling replied as he put his hands in his pants pockets.
"Guess what Indiana just offered us just in time for the holidays- Mike Dunleavy Jr. For Shaun Livingston and Jarron Collins!" Jim exclaimed.
"Christ, Jim, Christmas happened 4 days ago, I'd say its a little too late for them," Sterling countered.
Jim rolled his eyes. "Whatever, what do you think of the offer?"
"Eh- I dunno. I mean Dunleavy is obviously putting up bigger numbers than either Shaun or Jarron, but they all play completely different positions. Plus I kind of like our forward rotation right now...."
"I know what you mean, it'd be another big change for team especially since we made so many roster moves this summer."
"Exactly, but still, what's your opinion? I know I have my doubts, but I really trust you're instincts, Jim."
"Well, I'm feeling pretty much the same way as you are right now. Numbers-wise its a go, but chemistry and with our personal it seems to be a no. I mean we'd only have Monta Ellis to play point, and have either Brevin Knight or Dan Dickau backing him up.."
"Should we discuss it with Mike?"
"I'm not sure, I don't think I really want to make this deal regardless of his opinion. He might be biased towards acquiring him or he might be overly against it just to show he isn't playing favorites. I say we reject this deal, Donald."
"Well, allright then, thanks for letting me in on the process," Sterling said as he headed out of Jim's office.

Nice story chapter. Its been a while. Every single dynasty has a story element now, but yours is the only one thats any good.

Sucks to see you not do the trade though. It wouldn't make much sense, but it would be a great story.

Tue Apr 15, 2008 11:01 am

Amazing trade offer! Makes a great storyline!
IMO you should go for it. Monta gets more burn! :P
Anyway, can't wait to see what's next. It's been a while since you've done a story.
Lamrock's right. Yours is the only one worth reading nowadays (Y)

Tue Apr 15, 2008 11:11 am

I agree with you rejecting the deal.. Making too much roster moves will definitely mess up your team chemistry.. Really great storyline there! (Y)
