Allen Iverson passing on family values:

A.I.: son, what you doing there?
A.I.'s son: practicing my math for my test tommorow
A.I: practice? practice? we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test - practice. we talkin' 'bout practice. not the test, not the test - practice.

I don't know. Next season hasn't happened yet. My best guess would be the Knicks due to Donnie Walsh, and the Pacers because they suck.

I'm assuming the Sonics will change their jersey if they move to Oklahoma City next season, perhaps only slightly if they retain the team name, colours and records and obviously more drastically if the franchise adopts a new name and colours.

I've never seen Woody Sauldsberry acknowledged whenever the question comes up though, Mark Jackson is always cited as the answer. Perhaps there's some condition that disqualifies Sauldsberry.

Possibly, though I don't recall that being explicitly stated whenever the question comes up in trivia. The NBA Draft underwent some changes in 1966 including the elimination of territorial picks, perhaps those changes exclude Sauldsberry much the same as pre-shot clock era records are specifically noted or excluded when it comes to marks for the lowest scores and the like.

Wilt Chamberlain wasn't a number one pick though. He was a territorial pick of the Philadelphia Warriors in 1959.

Hmm, I thought this thread was for "factual" or trivia questions...not opinion based ones. Wouldn't it be better to have seperate threads in order for those questions to be fully debated?

That said, it's likely Kareem or Shaq.

WILLIAM (Bill) DAVIDSON - Contributor (Finalist in 2007), 85, is a lifelong Michigan resident born in Detroit, where he has created both NBA and WNBA dynasties. An owner of the Pistons since 1974 and the WNBA Shock since 1998, Davidson's Pistons have captured three NBA crowns to go along with two WNBA titles for the Shock. Davidson has served as Chairman of the NBA Board of Governors, and has been an innovative business leader in the sports industry - building the revolutionary Palace of Auburn Hills, playing an integral role in structuring modern NBA salary cap and free agency standards, and even owning the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning and capturing a Stanley Cup. His Pistons have featured several Hall of Famers, including Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Chuck Daly and Larry Brown.

^^ Induction in the HOF is about what that person contributed to basketball. People see that his contributions to basketball are significant so he was nominated then inducted.

Jerry Buss might be possible if he's nominated and then voted by the HOF panelists.

Who's the heaviest person ever to play in the NBA (their weight during their NBA career only)? Is/was there anybody in the league heavier than Shaq? Sure there are taller players but they were all pretty damn skinny.

That's a hard one, because listed weights aren't always accurate, and often never change during players careers.

There's guys like Oliver Miller obviously. Also John "Hotplate" Williams:
Listed by basketballreference.com as 6'8" and 235 pounds, Williams' playing weight had certainly not been less than 250 since his school days at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles. The Washington Bullets listed his weight at 260 pounds, while the Los Angeles Clippers listed him at 295, and the Indiana Pacers listed him at an even 300. What is certain is that anyone who saw him play towards the end of his career (especially when he was a member of the Indiana Pacers) knows that he tipped the scales at well over 330.

Kemp got way up there from drug use, as did Stanley Roberts.

If true, I'd just give it to Miller because of this story:
In fact, it was rumoured that during the inaugural season of the Toronto Raptors, then Raptor coach Brendan Malone looked to put Oliver Miller in a game, but Miller was not there. Malone had assumed that Miller had taken a quick bathroom break, but instead he was found at the Pizza Pizza located at Skydome.
