He wanted to be able to last longer and not tire easily. (So he can shoot more)

LOL Kobe sucks. Not only did he draw (yet another) phantom foul for three at the end of a game tonight, but he made the first 2, and choked on the last one to tie the game.... Kobe ftl.
Mon Nov 26, 2007 6:15 pm
He took way too much time on that last free throw which put a bunch of doubt and fear into his mind.
Mon Nov 26, 2007 8:12 pm
He lead a pretty amazing comeback before all that though.
One thing: I hate Vince Carter. Always have.
This only solidifies my position. When you're one of the most athletically gifted players in history and have great ballhandling skills for a 6'6 shooting guard, go to the fucking rim.
He shot about 2-3 three pointers from a good four feet behind the line.

Thanks for the very useful information.

sure, no problem. always looking out for those who don't live in the LA area.

I wonder why Kobe gets so much hate for drawing out fouls while Wade gets so much love for them.
Thu Nov 29, 2007 8:15 pm
Quick question here. Why aren't the fakers playing Ariza? Instead of Ariza, they put in Coby karl in yesterday's game. Or was the move geared more toward clearing cap room?

I believe before playing their "reserves", they try to give minutes to their "second unit" in Ronny Turiaf, Luke Walton, Chris Mihm, Jordan Farmar and Andrew Bynum. They usually let them play to close out blow-outs, end of 2nd quarters and usually, 3rd quarters.
I like this kind of rotation since I like seeing everyone having almost balanced PT except for their superstar and letting them feel and get used to the triangle. This way, The "First Unit" won't be fatigued throughout the 2nd half of the season.

And the Lakers win over the Nuggets makes the total margin of points each team won by 92 points!!
Thats an average of a little under 31 per game.
3 blowouts tonight.....

it's nice seeing some kid own a pro in his prime.
JO is hardly in his prime anymore. This isn't the NBA circa 2001 to 2004.

I think after the 2006 Finals, Wade has received a fair amount of criticism as well.

uber pwnage
AK47: 20pts, 11reb, 11as, 6stls, 4blks, 0 turnovers

Damn. That's insane. The other stats are "normal" for AK, but the assists!?!

yeah i remember a couple years ago AK almost had a quadruple double on the Lake Show. impressive. plus, the Lakers got the L tonight so im a happy camper.
oh and on another note, i found Melo's chokehold on Sasha to be very entertaining since i hate both of them.
Sat Dec 01, 2007 11:17 pm
Melo's been watching too many wrestling or MMA matches.

nybody watching the Lakers game tonight on NBA TV?
Not a bad game so far, pretty pleasing to watch. Few nice plays here and there capped with a sweet dunk by Ariza recently. I'd say yall shoul definitely tune in.
edit: lol actually ended with both teams having a poor shooting first quarter but it was up and down the court basketball which I like. Odom with 9 rbs so far.
Wed Dec 19, 2007 1:07 pm
I was interested in watching this game, but fucking Chicago blackouts keep me from watching it on HD, so fuck that.

Havent posted in a while.
Just wanted to share how surprised I am by Andrew Bynum. Averaging a double double this season. Wasn't expecting that. And he's trying hard on defence which is also good. Hoping we do well on the East Coast 4 game road trip.
Chicago down. Next up is Cleveland.

I agree that Bynum is playing very well. And he has minimized picking up cheap fouls. I guess with kwame brown on a contract year might end up in the unemployment line next season.
Farmar is doing well for himself as well, on certain stretches, he has been producing good numbers. I'd say last year's bums Radman and Vujacic has won them a couple of games as well.
Maybe an addition of another solid post player, and the emergence of a solid 3rd scrorer would solidify the fakers chances in the post season.

Someone like Lamar Odom?

Someone like Lamar Odom? Crazy
Nope not like Odom, somebody that can actually play with their back to the basket and somebody who can make layups off the offensive rebound for the easy deuce. Not like an oversized SF forced to play the PF spot. If only kwame brown or turiaf could actually be a little more consistent.
Anyway, I'm happy to see that LA is on a good streak right now. I would attribute it to Ariza's placement as a starting forward. I've always disliked Ariza as a player for his lack of 3pt range. But, the way he plays when he picks up offensive rebounds, and being athletic that he converts for easy points after knocking off the occasional steal. This I think has been a great help for the LA team. I'm happy to be wrong about Ariza's role on the LA team and has been a great filler type player.
Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:43 pm
I am really impressed with Bynum, considering not only is he dropping 20+ points and grabbing 10+ rebounds, he is also dismantling his opponents below and never lets down on defense. Imagine a 20 year old kid minimizing Amare Stoudamire to 5 rebounds.
PS: Why was Dwyane banned? How? I want to know how he got banned
