So everyone knows about my girl problems.
I love this girl and (was?) determined to marry her...eventually. We just fit with eachother perfectly. Alas she's now in to some other guy...she just elaborated on it once and I quit talking to her for a week. She got all annoying so I began talking to her but told her not to talk to me about other guys and all that shit. Do what you gotta do, leave me out of it.
So basically I'm still totally in love with her, I keep telling myself I'm not...I've been flirting endlessly with every girl from work...very shameless, I know...but I'm in the phase where I don't care. This one girl that bakes bread though, yum. I want her...
Anyways, the girl I love is in Barcelona for three weeks, annoys me to think she's dancing around some tanned latino fuckers, but okay...who gives a shit?
Man, am I glad I go to the gym tomorrow or what. And I work tomorrow too, I get to see the bread baking chick.
Mon Aug 06, 2007 7:24 am
You work at a bakery?
Mon Aug 06, 2007 7:26 am
I work at a supermarket...which bakes it's own bread...and she bakes them tomorrow night.
If that's amusing, sure.

Girls give problems to the world, but also the ones who give the
greatest joy.
Mon Aug 06, 2007 10:52 am
Jackal doesn't live in India.
joe, honestly don't get yourself all stressed out about that shit. worry about yourself first. (this might be the asian in me coming out) but you should study hard, get into a good school and get educated. get a good job you love and everything else should fall into place. you sound pretty young too (like 15) so you got plenty of time. girls aren't worth it then... tooo much drama.
however, I'm already 21 and haven't been in a serious relationship and I feel like I'm getting left behind in this game we call life. my friends from high school were like me... working hard to get into a good university so we didn't have time for girls, but even now they're starting to get into it. one of my Jewish friends is dating an asian chick at UCLA and my other friend told me he was ashamed of me because the Jew got and Asian girl before I did. he meant to say it as a joke, but i dunno it really hurts deep down.
i'm so sick of the invisible racism against asian males in the dating game and I honestly don't know what to do with myself at this point. My cousin (a girl) says I should jsut be patient and wait it out. my 30 year old cousin (who's married) says I should work on myself first before I look for someone else. my guy friend from work says I should lower my standards to get a girl because I'm not getting married anytime soon, so all the girls i date now will be just for the experience.
Mon Aug 06, 2007 1:37 pm
Indeed Rabbitx, I don't live in India.
Q, I've heard that lower your standards shit before. You know what? Fuck that. So you don't just fall for any girl that bats an eyelash at you, that isn't a bad thing.
Keep your standards, it'll keep you from eventually falling for trailertrash.

Very true, I was 21 when I met the woman who's now my wife, and I'm glad I didn't "lower my standards". With enough confidence and a bit of luck, you're bound to find someone special.

It was. The first two months, I was a depressed hermit—didn't even talk to anyone. I think it took about a year before I regained my confidence, then shortly after that, I met my current gf, and life's great now.

Screw that. If anything, you should raise your standards. That's what I learned after going through a 2.5 year relationship, that you know what you really want, and what you want in order to spend the rest of your life with someone. Never go backwards, always go forwards. I did that, and ended up with a strong, intelligent, and incredibly sexy bombshell.

glad to know i wasn't the only one that thought it didn't sound right. it ain't easy, but i guess sticking it out for now will be better for me in the long run. but my question is where do i meet decent (aka non-slutty) girls? the only girls I meet nowadays are either in class, girlfriends of friends, or at work (and believe me, girls at work are trouble)
Mon Aug 06, 2007 7:33 pm
I'll tell you where you can meet some girls, but to be honest, as soon as you're "looking to meet girls", it seems to go wrong.
Anyways, where do I meet girls? Everywhere. Let me clear something up, working at a supermarket in Holland is not the same as working at a supermarket in America or Curacao for that matter. In America and Curacao you've got old people doing everything that needs to be done, over here...supermarkets are run by people no older than 23. Yes, 23.
We've got bosses, John, Gerdie and Anita, John is the main guy, must be around 50, Gerdie second in command at like 40? and Anita at 24. These people come at 9 and leave at 6. They do the paperwork.
The opening, closing, the filling, the storage, everything...cashiers...they are all kids. Shit, I'm 20 and I open the store twice a week. (At 6 a.m.)
So yes, a lot of my co-workers are girls around 17-20 that work after school. (Like me.)
Besides girls from work, a lot of girls just come to shop for their parents and stuff. So I end up being a smartass with them and they love it. I remember one girl from last summer who asked if we had any charcoal left. Alas we didn't and I told her that, she pouted and said well thanks to you, my BBQ's ruined. Being the wise ass that I am, I said wait here. I went out to another supermarket (walking distance) got charcoal and came back and gave it to her. I'm like well since I saved the BBQ, I hope I'm invited to it. Too bad the girl had a BF but I did get a "friend" out of it. Stupid girls making friends.
Uhm, I'm getting off topic.
You can meet girls anywhere, school is a good place, just stay away from girls in your class. Just sit around in the main lounge of your school with friends and you'll see a lot of girls just sitting around waiting for someone. Just go up to them, make small talk...will you be rejected and get funny looks? Hell yes, but out of the 10, if 1 girl gives you her number (although I work more with MSN, new day & age I suppose), atleast that much, right?
Don't mind me, I'm just giddy I get to see the baking girl today.

haha so true. my old store manager was a total player and that was his philosophy. he said walking into a bar, he could make a fool of himself and talke to 15 or 20 chicks that night. but hey, all he needed was ONE to say yes.

Be cool, Q. You've seen something that you've waited for a long time

Dude, you're probably more in luck then anything else. Catalonian women are sexy as hell, but most of the guys in Barcelona are skinny, pale and don't take showers. That's why I love that city so much, so easy to rake in the fine girls.

So god damn right. Only on 3 occasions of going out and looking for girls have I ever gotten a number. One of them was fake, and the other two were bullshitters. It seems like when I'm not looking for them, thats when they come.
One thing that is good about "being friends" with a girl, is that they have girlfriends. Most of the girls I have had any kind of relations with were a friend's girlfriend's friend, or a friend of my brother's and sister's. If you ever get that "but your my friend's brother" bullcrap, it's just code for "keep it on the down low."

Count on Indy to make my night.

Very true, but I'm an ass...I play flirt with everyone and anyone. So sometimes when I'm really in to the girl's friend, then it looks as if I'm just joking so sometimes it's laughed off. Then when you literally say...listen, let's go out. On a date. With a straight face, that's when they go...oh, yeah sure or uhm, no, let's not.im sry jackal, for some reason i thought u were an indian, maybe its some one else, my fault
Hehe, I am Indian. Well, my parents are from India, I was born in the States. Never the less, still Indian. But no, we don't (haven't) lived in India ever. Well, they have, but that was way before our time.
Tue Aug 07, 2007 5:53 am
yeah im similar bckgrnd, indian parents, born and raised in us, but i visit sometimes
Tue Aug 07, 2007 8:29 am
so Jackal you're an American citizen.
Tue Aug 07, 2007 8:42 am
Dual nationality bitch.
American citizen and Dutch citizen. And what now, huh?! Huh??!
Tue Aug 07, 2007 9:23 am
you should become a canadian citizen, then you can snatch up the free health care
Tue Aug 07, 2007 9:36 am
What's good if it's free but has to wait a long, long time for it? Heard alot of people died while waiting to have surgery because the lineups are too long. So, prevention is always better than cure.
Tue Aug 07, 2007 9:49 am
But I don't live in Canada, what would I do with that?
My healthcare isn't bad though, I pay a sum per month and I'm covered for pretty much anything.
I'm fine with being American and Dutch.

Yeah, having dual citizenship is awesome. I do too, only Argentine and Italian is not exactly the same as American and Dutch lol.
My combination is probably more common too (I know most people with Italian roots living in Argentina hold dual-citizenship, and that's about 45% of the total population).
I'm hoping to become an American citizen by the time I'm twenty-five though, and probably drop both my current citizenships since I don't plan on living in Italy or Argentina.you should become a canadian citizen, then you can snatch up the free health care
We do have free health care here in Italy and since the Netherlands are part of the UE too, I'm pretty sure there's free health care there too.
Haven't been there though so I'm not 100% sure. Jackal can confirm.
EDIT: Just saw Jackal's post. I guess I was wrong.
Tue Aug 07, 2007 9:55 am
Pff, I wish we had free healthcare.
I pay a fricking 112 Euro's a month for healthcare. Are you sure it's free for you Joe? I think you just fall under your parents' coverage given you're under 18, I think they pay quite an amount too.
It's a guess though. I was free till I turned 18.
