I play on Arcade, but it can work with Simulation
Fouls MAXED up
CPU Assistance OFF, but you can play with ON if you want

def ability /.914
speed *.697

jump *.81
dribbling *.989

Can you post an example of your results?

Hey, I don't know who this guy is, but his roster are VERY good. I have gotten some realistic stats. You guys sould try these out...really. Only things I can see that could be tweaked are steals and ball handling. Other than that, these are the best out, by far. Between this guy and Felipe they have the best rosters geared for realistic results.

Can you give a example of a couple players ratings after these tweaks, all ratings if you can? Thanks

This roster is definately top notch. I'm really surprised that this thread has dropped to the bottom like this. Guys, if you want some truely REALISTIC play, grab them right away. You can tell that this guy has put in some time in calculating and re-calculating stats to represent the real game. Great job JCroster, your work does not go in vain.

BTW, do you mind if I ask how you came up with this formula? Those exact numbers?

Thanks.

The thing that may have lead to this going un-noticed is the fact he mentions it with 5 min quarters. I don't think you can get a true representation of a game with 5 min quarters, so people don't bother to even try the settings.

Actually I believe by saying 5min qtrs he's refering to his own settings and preference. I can assure you that this roster produces unbelievably realistic stats with even 8min qtrs and above. I just played a game(NY vs Wiz) and lost a nail biter 70 to 73 6min qtrs. Just a few stats. The leading blocker on my team was Kwame with 3. Both pg had 7 assts. Steals were low, although I had to be real careful with the passing. Total of 7 blocks in the game. You really have to time the block to make an impact. Jumping at your opponenent to block a shot ofentime results in a distracted shot as opposed to an actual block. This is VERY nice. Timing is key here.

I'll post an actual printout later. I saved the stats for future reference. Anyhow, it's unfortunate the author of the patch didn't go into much detail about stats and such, because it doesn't do his work any justice. However, I can vouch for this roster. It's top of the line. Give it a try and post your results as well.

Will post my stats later..

BTW, as I recall my fg% was .542 and NY shot .457. High pressure on both Sprewell and Houston. Made sure to switch between my players quite often to gain good postion on the offensive player. I also made sure to keep good spacing between my player and the opposing player. This allowed me to guard properly and keep the cpu at a low fg%

One of the reasons why I'm impressed with this roster is because of the order in player ratings which is maintained throughout. The good thing is that these adjustments have translated to a very realistic playing game. From observation, it seems that some other roster patchers are making all kinds of arbitrary adjustments based on how they feel and such. For example, I've seen rosters where both speed and quickness are set to same rating for all players(Kobe 80 speed and 80 Quick). I'm not saying this is a bad thing, however I just don't believe that Andrew will incorporate these types of changes in the NLSC patch. So in other words, tough luck if you want to see some of your favorite rosters included in Andrews patch. Order needs to be maintained with the ratings, and if need be, select player ratings should be adjusted to reflect their actual performance, etc. We need to start filtering out the good from the bad or ok rosters/formulas out there, and to begin, this roster deserves strong consideration for one of the better ones out there, that could be used as a template for future NLSC rosters. There are few other canditates out there that can compare to what this roster offers in terms of realism and uniformity in ratings.
