Maybe the theory can be changed to a HoF post-player. Jordan was a SG, but he played in the post, right?

Jack Sikma, Dennis Johnson, Gus Williams?

Lenny Wilkens.

Not in that first 3 peat. If Rodman doesn't get into the hall of fame, I'm thinking about boycotting the nba.

Have a look at this list:

[list]Last 24 NBA Champions:
1984 - Boston Celtics
1985 - LA Lakers
1986 - Boston Celtics
1987 - LA Lakers
1988 - LA Lakers
1989 - Detroit Pistons
1990 - Detroit Pistons
1991 - Chicago Bulls
1992 - Chicago Bulls
1993 - Chicago Bulls
1994 - Houston Rockets
1995 - Houston Rockets
1996 - Chicago Bulls
1997 - Chicago Bulls
1998 - Chicago Bulls
1999 - San Antonio Spurs
2000 - LA Lakers
2001 - LA Lakers
2002 - LA Lakers
2003 - San Antonio Spurs
2004 - Detroit Pistons
2005 - San Antonio Spurs
2006 - Miami Heat
2007 - San Antonio Spurs

Do you think that the NBA need some talent distributing? We're talking about 7 Champions in 25 years. With the only exception of the Heat championship last year, the last years have seen some hegemony from the "Elite teams".

I just want another opinion on this, I know this isn't normal in a league that has a salary cap to prevent teams with more money have advantage over other less richer.

Some teams are just run better.

Fri Jun 01, 2007 10:48 am

also those teams keep their certain special players around for a long duration. most great players careers span a decade, and if you stay with one team during your whole career, that team is bound to be good for said time. its not like those dynasties had different core players every year, and even in san antonio's case they've always had td.

The 74-75 Warriors didn't also, but the overwhelming percentage does.

if you remove jordan from the nba all together then that list would include between 3-5 more teams. so yeah, good teams with great players tend to stay on top and win big.

Did you guys saw the pic of Bill Russell guarding Duncan? I thought it was great, just because it would have been amazing to see those two play against each other.

Fri Jun 01, 2007 11:48 am

russell would shut his ass down big time. then again, i dont see big bill dominating tim on the other end either lol

We're talking about players though, not coaches.

Well i dunno if this will be easy to answer but is there any way i can get the players from the upcoming draft (Oden, Durant, Wright, Conley etc.) to be in my season on PS3, game 2K7?

(without creating them myself)

Lenny Wilkens is a HOF player though....he was a lefty PG, one of 50 Greatest of All-Time (even though he shouldn't have been)....

Yes...and what does that have to do with the 79 Sonics who Lenny did not play for?

hmmm, curious, has there ever been a superstar centre, i mean hakeem-duncan-shaq, etc. calibre, not drafted in the top 3 of a draft? or for that matter, top 2?

Sun Jun 03, 2007 7:44 am

^ I doubt it. the closest you probably get is maybe Brad Miller who I believe went undrafted in '99.

I don't know if you'd consider Mutombo, I mean, Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo, a superstar C, but he was drafted outside of top 3, 4th overall by Nuggets in 91.

Willis Reed was the first pick of the second round (8th overall) in 1964. He's the only one that comes to mind though.

Sun Jun 03, 2007 11:52 pm

Robert Parish was drafted 8th overall, though you may or may not consider him a superstar center. in boston we do.

Does anyone know, why is Daniel Gibson called "boobie" ?

It was given to him by his mother. Apparently, when he always gets home from a fight, he cries. His mother called him Boobie. Well, at least that's what Craig Sager said.

How far above the ground is the top of the backboard?

Mon Jun 11, 2007 2:41 pm

i don't mean this to be a racist remark or anything, i am just curious - has a team coached by an african american ever won a nba title? it may just be a temporary brain fart, but i can't for the life of me think of any.

Mon Jun 11, 2007 2:47 pm

Bill Russell player coached the celtics to a title.

K.C. Jones led the Celtics to the title in 1984 and 1986.

Here's one: Who was the last rookie to start an NBA Finals game? Before Daniel Gibson.

It's probably someone completely obvious and i've just had a brain-fart.
