gimme 65 KOBE!!! THE LAKERS FINALLY WIN!!!

Sat Mar 17, 2007 3:37 pm

yea.....56 in regulation....9 in OT.....great game for him....too bad the rest of the lakers didnt help...

Sat Mar 17, 2007 8:59 pm

Yeah this is kinda hard it takes 65 from Kobe to beat the Trailblazers in OT? come on rest of the lakers you're better than that

Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:30 am

wow, seems like the flakers are improving, last year kobe had to score 81 for them to win, this year its down to 65. What the f**k is the matter with everyone else? Phil Jackson is supposed to be one of the greatest motivational (if not the greatest) coaches ever in the nba. Maybe they should have kept butler instead of odom. :D. anyway, as always... awin is a win...

Barely won. If it weren't for Kobe, we would've lost. Imagine if he was aggressive in the 1st. Wow.

Sun Mar 18, 2007 2:27 pm

it would've been better if kobe got 65 then at least someone else score 20-25 points..

Sun Mar 18, 2007 2:35 pm

One man can't carry a team...period. Kobe's good, but he can't make the Lakers win. 65 points and they barely beat the blazers?? Sure Kobe's scoring average has shot up past few weeks, but his team has also lost 7 straight (and 6 straight few days before that) before winning against the blazers. I live in LA and wanna see Lakers win, but they gotta involve more guys. They have a lot of talent, not just one superstar.

Sun Mar 18, 2007 4:00 pm

Lakers are 10-0 when Kobe scores 50 at home. No way the Blazers were going to beat the Lakers.

I'm sorry but everytime I see the Lakers game I don't see Phil motivating anybody, he's always sitting and barely stand up unless he wants a timeout or disagree with the ref, other than that he's always sittin is ass off.

I like coaches who are on their feet, screaming and motivating his players, sort of like what John Gruden did when the Tampa Bays won the SuperBowl.

Is this the first game you've seen of Phil Jackson?

I love his attitude, he's like the Godfather of all coaches demeanor-wise.

It's Phil's mind games and Zen beliefs.

50 pts again from Kobe. Not a bad night I suppose, just hope slowly but surely theyll get back to how theyd played earlier this season when guys werent injured. Moving on.

Mon Mar 19, 2007 1:25 pm

Not to mention Lamar, Smush, and Luke were getting close to triple doubles.

Kobe ! The Ultimate Scorer?

what do you think?

Here it is

Fri Mar 23, 2007 10:38 am

I would say Larry Bird was the ultimate scorer. He could shoot better than most people. He wasn't athletic but he was smart enough to attack the basket and score.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:11 am

Well, Kobe has 24 points at the half and it doesnt seem forced at all. Good shooting percentage and all. Lakers leading 60-54. Not that I particularly think he should be aiming for it but it would be interesting to see if he can get 50-50-50.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:28 am

Of course he'll try to get 50+ again. I'm not a Kobe-hater at all, but trying to do that is something most humans would do.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:53 am

I know he's going for it, I'm just not a big supporter of that goal if it means just forcing shot after shot. He's been selecting his shots carefully so for now no issues.

edit: 39 pts for him now so I think 60 might be the goal if the game continues to be tight.

edit: Man, Memphis keep hitting some circuslucky shots, rolling round the rim and all.

edit: Kobe at 41 after 2 more free throws. If LA just played some D it would be a blowout. Both teams at 90+ closing the 3rd. Kobe with 43.

edit: Kobe with 46.

edit: 50 pts and counting.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:24 pm

He might just top 65. Should get 60 no doubt. Amazing.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:31 pm

60

Beyond impressive. God i'd love to see him beat his 65. I'm sure he can do it. One more basket and milk it at the stripe! dada, is it too early to ask who the lakers got next? ;)

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:38 pm

Wow, leave it to the refs to make a controversal call at the end. Game basically over and they call Kobe for an elbow where Jones just runs into the guy. They say it was a pushoff but a pushoff to where. He didnt go anywhere. He was just standing there with his other hand as a shield to protect potentially getting the ball. Rubbish call.

Well it didnt matter since they missed the 3.

Charlotte. We may get 50-50-50-50.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:43 pm

lol. Sucky Crapkins is causing havoc in Memphis right now. Good thing we got rid of him.

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:44 pm

or better, 60-50-60-50! At uni now with the espn gamecast up. Look forward to seeing the highlights later on. (Y)

Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:47 pm

Whats great is only 2 turnover where in reality it may have been only 1 or none at all. The last with the elbow was a horrendous call that shouldnt have been made and the other was on a fast break that may or may not have been a 3 pt play.
