Question with self alley oop

you know in practise mode if u press off ball (or is it direct pass) on your keyboard you throw the ball on the back board and u can grab the rebound and dunk it. I saw ppl doing this on youtube in the game! I press off ball in the game nothing happens, the player doesn't throw the ball. So.. anyone know how do I do that in a game?>

It can only be performed in All-Star Weekend mode.

if it went off the backboard then it mustve been some kind of hack.
the closest to it is having a high flyer dunk from about the foul line, ya hold the trick button down and press the same button twice, you can work out which one.
