V1 released... still need some fixes (numbers, some non-major players are missing), i'll try to fix that for the V2. I'm also going to make fictionnal allstar teams (west, east, rookies, sophomores). I'll try to release the V2 before 20th january.

I'm gonna be realy busy on january, but i'll be back on february (maybe) for 99/00 and 00/01 rosters

Hey guys ! I'm starting a 1999/2000 roster patch ! Remember that I'm just a noob and I'm doing the best I can to make it right ! I already made L.A. Lakers and Portland Trailblazers :

1999/2000 rosters
1999/2000 players look
1999/2000 adjusted ratings & fss (for example, i enabled outside scorer and outside stoper for kobe because it was disabled in 97/98 and 98/99 roster patchs )

The Cfs are not going to be release of course, it will be depending on what you already installed (tony divence rosters, glen's or utopia's cfs, notorious bayag's classic teams, etc...)

I have a lot of work at university and I have just started this patch, so it's not going to be release before the end of march

looks good ...it takes a lot of time of course, but have you considered to adjust players salaries, birthdate and correct years pro so that it can be properly used in dynasty?

Thats the difference between me and you tony ! My rosters are just modifications of rosters, ratings and looks... Whereas your rosters are just PERFECT (years pro, salaries, etc.)

For salaries i think it's going to be very long to make that and i don't know where i can have the resources. And for the years pro, i have posted a topic to ask how i can add one year experience to every players but nobody answered. Because do that one by one will be very painful... Maybe you know how i can do that ?

from there, just click on teams... choose the team of your liking, the year in your case 2000... and when you scroll to the lower most part of the page you will see individual player salaries...

as far as i know, there is no shortcut on how to lowering the player years... you have to do them manually through .dbf editing... i could be wrong though, better ask Tony D. or Notorious B.A.Y.A.G. for some tips on it... hope this helps man, keep it up...

okay, here is some instructions if you change your mind:


ADJUSTING CORRECT AGE FOR A PLAYER:

let's take for ex. Shaq he's born in 1972 so he's 34 in Live 07 but he was 27 in 1999 so you must edit his birthdate through dbf so it displays his birthyear as 1979..

in the dbf you can also change his years pro in the colum "YEARSEXP"


SALARIES:

in the bottom of that page you find the salaries for every team from 1985 through 2006

Salaries must be changed in the "CASH YEAR" colum..if player is making 5000000$ and other is making 500000$ you put it "5000" and "500"

i haven't found contract lenghts anywhere, but it can be changed in "YEARS_LONG" and "YEARS_LEFT" colums, just put some fictional years there.


LEARNING, WORKETHIC AND DESTINY: (these 3 reflect each other)


can be changed from "LEARNING" , "WORKETHIC" and "DESTINY" colums in dbf

i adjust these to add some realism to the dynasty..for ex. if i make 95-96 roster there is Kevin Garnett as a rookie so i must change his learning, workethic and destiny so he can develop to an MVP caliber player in the future


here is the instructions:


learning rating scale:

1-20 - poor
20-40 - mediocre
40-60 - average
60-70 - good
70-90 - great
90-100 - hall of fame


workethic scale:

0-1 - player develops very fast if he has a good learning rating and destiny rating 0-1

2-3 - player delelops in a slow pace if he has a good learning rating and destiny, if he has a low learning rating and destiny..he rarely becomes something

4 - this combined with a low learning rating & destiny, causes player to be out of the league in no time


destiny rating scale (can be changed in the "DESTINY" colum)

0-1 - likely hall of famer
2-3 - good potential, with a lots of training might be a starter some day
4-5 - 6th or 12th man
5-6 - bust
7-8 - out of the league

hey guys i have a problem !!

everytime i click on the menu "create a player" the game crash !! and this windows appears :



The bug is only when i load my new roster '1999/2000" that i'm working on, but for the other rosters saves there is no problem. Weird because 99/00 is just a modification of the precedent roster 98/99 that works fine...

Also, i tried to replace everything (except players.dbf) in the save file by copying a "no-bug" save file and there is still the bug... So the problem is from players.dbf

do you have created players in your roster? if not, try replacing the faces.dbf from the nba live 07/origdb..that's the first solution i can think of

my roster is based on your 1998 rosters (V1), i made the transfers and created 3 or 4 players i think to make 1999 then to make 2000 i took 1999 rosters and started to make the transfers...

I don't understand why 2000 rosters is not working and 1999 is working. The only diference between the two is : tranfers for 4 teams (blazers, lakers, hawks, celtics), updated players (salaries, birthdates, years pro) and one created player...

Elijah, can you send me your faces.dbf, players.dbf and appearance.dbf files?..i try to fix it..i have a good idea that could fix it, too complicated to explain it here..

you are missing the appearance.dbf lines for m.dickerson, cal bowdler, thurl bailey, r. mccleod, e. recasner & jamie feick..i tried to fix that but failed, i'm now trying to look at some solution to create more players

did you found a solution tony ? if not i would like to know if i'm restarting 99/00 roster is it going to make the same bug ?

i've now solved the problem..where i can send you the files?..i had to transform previous created players to the ones with ea's default faces..

i looked it again..you can create players but the player height & weight is fucked up

i found the what is causing the problem..you've been deleting players through dbf but the deleted players appearance files are still there..i'll delete them and look if it fixes the prop

Fixed now. Just remember..don't delete players from dbf..instead release them to freeagency and change their team number to "38" then they don't appear in the game

i've used the wayback machine in webarchive.org and found a 1999 nba.com page dated oct. 13th, click on "teams" and it will direct you to team sites, there choose roster or players and it will show you the uniform numbers aswell other info..hope you find this useful!..i haven't explored this site very well so there could be some other useful info regarding 1999-00 season
