Nice work Andrew,as always :) But I have some suggestions:

Rafer Alston. Truly underrated player. He's averaging 13.5 points per game and has fg 70,when J-Rich has 12.7 per game and his fg is 80. So increase Alston's fg to 75-76, plz. Then...he's averaging 1.72 steals a game, besides,he's the only player to have 9 steals in a game for three years, and I suggest that he deserves to have outside stopper's freestyle (probably star, but in comparison to a Superstar Outide Stoppers such as LeBron, Bryant, Kidd, Billups, Knight he's better in steal,so I think he deserves even Superstar Stopper ability).

And Mikki Moore. I believe he deserves more than 59 overall. He's now developed very much and has the great efficiency - +11.27, in comparison to Delonte West, Marvin Williams, Smush Parker etc. They're all 70+, and he's only 59 - doesn't he deserve to be increased?

Hope my suggestions will help you in v.1.02 :)

i don't think one part of stat makes him better than the others. better stealing alone doesnt make him better defender than LeBron, Kobe, Kidd, Biilups, and Knights.. you suggested. That's his one of spotlight game. Kobe should have 99 FG because he had 81 pts game? I don't think your theory works.

Smush Parker is good at stealing. So does he deserve star outside stopper? NO WAY.

I think FG depends on FG percentage, not based on the PGA. JRich is overall better shooter than Alston.

Most likely the cyberfaces haven't been installed correctly. Check Faces Troubleshooting.txt (included with the archive) for more info. :)

That's weird. I'll look into it but nothing I've done should be causing that problem. I do know that a lot of weird crashes can occur when the files in all the database folders (originaldb, currentdb, workingdb and so on) develop problems. That's usually easily fixed by restoring the original dbf files in each of those folders.

As I've said before, I don't boost overall ratings simply so they look better and my stance on that is not about to change. However, overall ratings that appear too low or too high are generally the result of individual ratings that can stand to be changed so I will give Moore another look. :)

Yes, I don't mean he's better in def. I say that he has more steals and deserves to be a stopper. As for me, Star Stopper will be the best variant. About FG...now Alston's shooting .384% and J-Rich is .374 - is this stat better for you? :D

Thx Andrew ;) waiting for v 1.02!

Hi again Andrew!
Take a look on some players please:
1. First of all pls take a look on Raja Bell Fg and 3 pt. He shure deserve fg about 75 and 3-pt 80+. He is one of the best NBA shooters with 2.7 3-pt made per game with 42.2 %.(Bell is 4 in nba in 3-pt. made per game) Much higher than g.arenas % with lil less 3-pt made. And his fg is not so suxor. 44.3 % .... i don't mean make his fg 99 but please take a look Andrew
2. Monta Ellis have career high season in NBA with 17 pts per game with 47 % and 1.4 steal!
3. Dwight Howard. He have speed and quick not less than J.O'neal for shure and 65 and 65 will be nice for him. Also he is most explosive power dunker in NBA today and don't have superstar power!
4. Anthony Parker always have good jump dunk and athletichism. He dunking in game very well, just remember from daily top 10 his dunks over O'neal J., Murphy, Okafor! This ratings is so underrated in the game pls fix it.!

I saw a stat somewhere that he was leading the NBA in dunks per fgm. I think he was dunking on around 50% on his field goals!

Thanks for the latest suggestions, I've made a note of them. :)

Chucky atkins, 06-07 season is the best season in his career, i think that need increase his overall to 72-73

Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:42 pm

Once again, as I said a few posts up, I do not boost overall ratings simply so they look better and I'm not about to change my policy on that.

Hello Andrew!

My suggestions :

1. I agree with Shox15 about role shooters FG rating.
Raja Bell's or Moris Peterson's fg rating is 68.
Bell has FG% = 43,5 with 3PM = 2,7
Peterson has FG = 46,0(!!!for 3P-man) with 3PM = 1,8
Kyle Korver has FG = 44,2(career high) with 3PM = 1,6 And FG Rating = 84!(difference = 84 - 68 = 16...)
I guess other(like Bell and Peterson) role shooters' FG ratings must be increased.
About concrete Bell's and Peterson's FG I think 75 for both would be right.

2. Our favorite James Jones =) He has 3P% = 37,9%(at Phoenix!) and 3P Rating = 81.
Raja Bell has 3P% = 41,9%(at same team) and 3P Rating = 79.

3. Tyrus Thomas's steal rating is 38 but he has great hard hands for stealing and he has 2,5 steal/per 48 min(more than B. Wallace, Knight, Arenas and others). I guess his steal rating must be increased to 50-60.

4. Mo Williams has a nice athleticism with height 6.1. I guess his speed, quick and hri ratings must be increased.
Mo has 54% successful inside attempts(82games.com) and Inside Rating 54. C. Paul has 56% and Inside Rating 67. Please take a look at this.
Mo has 5.1 REBS (second among PGs!) with height 6.1. I guess his rebounding skills are underrated.
Mo has 39,5% successful clutch plays(82games.com). Great Kobe Bryant - just 40,7%. I think Mo's clutch rating must be increased(now 44).
Through this corrections we can get more fair overall rating for player who play a great season collecting 18,5 points(with 44,4% FG) + 6,1 assists + 5,1 rebounds + 1,3 stals and 1,2 triples.

Andrew, some other propositions. Josh Powell is playing better now. He's played 48 games (in comparison to last season's 17) and has a good .450 FG%. But according to his 3.8 points per game, I think that his ratings (FG) have to be increased from 44 to at least 48-52.

In patch 1.01 Josh Smith is 1 year pro, it should be 2

Fri Feb 16, 2007 1:26 am

Some suggestions on Memphis and Houston:
Rudy Gay:
- he displays very good numbers(especially in last month) despite this is his rookie season. He looks good not only offensively(9.8 pts per game with FG% .429 and 3PT% .380) but also at the defensive end averaging 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. I think his fg and 3pt should be at least 70 both. His steal rating should be 60, block - 50 at least.
Hakim Warrick:
- don't you think that he should be Highflyer? This guy often shows that he should be.
Chucky Atkins:
- he makes 4.5 asissts per game. I think pass rating 80 will suit him better.
Shane Battier:
- makes 1.2 steal per game and has steal-73 and def.aware-77 while Raja Bell makes only 0.5 steal per game and has steal-80, def.aware-90 or Bruce Bowen makes 0.9 steal per game and has steal-81 and def.aware-92. I don't think that it is fair. Fix it please. Battier very good defensive player.

Fri Feb 16, 2007 1:35 am

Rudy Gay, increase block to 50, FG 70, 3PT 70
Hakim Warrick (24 min pg and 12.3 points pg) increase FG to 60, OFF 65, SPEED 70
Chucky Atkins AST 75, SPEED 78
Lawrence Roberts JUMP 60,OFF 55, FT 55, STRE 65, FG 45
Mike Miller DREB 65, OFF 79, QUICK 65, INSIDE 69, AST 50
Josh Smith his weight 235 lbs(In v1.01 - 225lbs)
