Adding a portrait

Sun Feb 11, 2007 6:17 am

I made a player in the Create player mode and I want to give him a portrait. I messed with the database so now he has no portrait.

How can I add a portrait? I know it's supposed to go something like playerprts~PLAYERPKG.big, but how do I get a picture into that file?

1) create the player in-game.
2) make the portrait file. For Kelenna Azubuike it would be plyrprts~KEAZUBU.big. Save the big file to the SGSM folder.
3) edit the players.dbf file. Set ISCREATED = False and PLAYERPKG to KEAZUBU. No need to edit the APPEARANCE.dbf file unless you have a cyberface.

How do I save the portrait? I had it done in photoshop, then saved it with the extension .big, but I can open it with photoshop and the other portraits I can't

Also, what should be the size of a portrait? I made it 128x128.

EDIT - my bad, i can't open it with photoshop. i made this guy named rory duncan the playerpkg is RODUNCA and the file is named plyrprts~RODUNCA.big, but it's still not working.
