Game Lag

When i play 07 onile, the game become choppy and laggy.
I have a cable connection and have closed all the backround programs.
Anyone have any ideas why it still lags?

Are you playing an IP to IP match or through EASO? I don't play online much but I have found that setting up games through EASO generally allows for better performance. The speed of your connection as well as your opponent's is also a factor.

One suggestion, if you play by direct connection, the one of the players with the faster internet speed should host the game.

IP to IP connection is slow and laggy no matter how fast the connection is. I play my brother using DSL and he has cable. We're separated by 60 miles and we get about 5 frames per second. It's absolutely terrible and unplayable and has been this way since IP to IP was introducted to the series sometime in 1999. EA programmers are just morons I suppose or perhaps the marketing guys told them not to make it work so smoothly so that we all need to pay them to use EASO.

By the way, I play Call of Duty with 20 players including some with modem connections and it works silky smooth. This shows you how much EA sucks.
