The "What team should I use?" question thread.

Domoman, if you ever come back: patches-i'd say the SUM, Andrew's Rosters, and many of the more excellent patches are all gonna be worth it, but the problem is patience. Start with the EA official patch, and i'm running Jimmy's rosters right now but an old version. Hopefully someone else can attest to AI changes, i'm happy just tweaking my sliders a bit.

As for a team: It depends on what level you play on and your style of play. Most teams except for a couple qualify for what you named. We can obviously rule out Miami...but if you want a middling team, i agree with nets4life except on the bulls: its just too easy. Maybe i play with them too much but i've yet to have any trouble with big ben scoring 20+. Then when they start double teaming him, popping out to gordon or hinrich. While i love DaBulls, i think they should be considered more than middling. Utah is interesting because I think Kirilenko and Okur arent nearly as good as Deron and Boozer (when healthy of course..) and it makes for a new dynamic of the game: removing yourself from FSS moves....Sacramento: i tend to dominate with artest/bibby a little too much for my liking but it might work for you. The Wizards i think also after one or two moves are as close to a description of a "good mix" team in the league. You have the go to guy in Arenas, and then the rest who can come through, but may not always. It could make for a nice challenging dynasty. Try it out and let us know how it goes man. I switch teams alot and can say i've played at least 1 full season with all those teams.

I am currently playing the Raptors with the 5-1 record, 5 home wins. Its a lot of fun to play with. With rasho, bosh, barg, mo pete, and ford at starting lineup. Off the bench I have parker and jones sharing with 22% minutes of playing time. Bosh is playing 33 mins per game. Fred jones is emerging as an 'off the bench' offense for us. Also, it will be insteresting for the raptors if barg will be a superstar with 72% playing time at SF or even win the rookie of the year. Barg now is averaging 10ppg and 6reb. Bosh on the other hand is averaging 23ppg and 12reb. Also with the offseason comes, can the raptors keep bosh and ford in their lineup. The raptors have 11M on salary cap and Im saving those cap for free agent next season.

My NBAlive specs:
- Jimmy's roster patch (the patch before dec 28 release)
- 9 mins gameplay

I want to start a dinasty wich I do seriously either with:
Wizards
Lakers
Bulls
Warriors
Wolves
Or:
Fantasy Draft...

Slizz, Well looking at your choices, I'd take the Wolves... Their rotation has gone better comparing to last year's, also they got Randy Foye(my favorite this year's rookie )...

Slizz, I give you advice to choose Bulls or Warriors.

Choose Heat or Bulls

Slizz i think u should go with warriors or Wolves
Both team are good and wolves need some more rebuilding
warriors are almost there with that 8 player deal that just happen n u can work around that

Since there is no thread like this for Live 05 I figured I would post it here.

I'm wanting to post a dynasty that will hopefully run for 2 seasons. I have completely up to date rosters and got a new computer with a great GFX card so I should be able to stick to it and make it look nice. Problem is, I can't think of a team.

I have a small list of teams I would like to use, heres my top 5 in order.

1. Chicago Bulls
2. New York Knicks
3. Phoenix Suns
4. New Jersey Nets
5. Dallas Mavericks

I'm not really sold on any though, so suggestions (they don't have to be teams on the list) would definately be a help.

I'll go with the Magic. Young Dwight.. Experienced Hill also there. Plus some depth off the bench. Turkoglu, Milicic, Redick, Arroyo, Dooling.. Plus Nelson.

But you'll know better.. But I'm sure it will be good.

I'd say Denver: I would really like to read a dynasty whihc includes Melo, AI and J.R smith Fighting to win a championship
