dunno if it's the graphics card or sumthing...

just got my nba live 07 and i was eager to play it since i'm a big follower of the series...after i installed it and ran the program everything was ok the game loaded well...until after i chose to start an exhibition game...after the exhibiton game loaded all i can see is the base model of the players in black andthe whole court was black...there were some animation for the audience but as i look closer i saw that the files that I assume are for the player faces were on the net and in the background behind he audience...I tried reinstalling the game and clearing all traces of the previous installation but everytime i re-install the problem still happens...whats worst i that if you run through the game a bit moreafter the jump ball marv albert's voice chop and then it crashes back to the desktop...i also tried installing the patch but still ain't working...it's like my pc is reading the game wrong or something..

BTW the specs of my pc (as from the sticker on it):
Acer aspire 5100-3583

AMD turion 64 Mobile Technology MK36 (2.0 GHz, 512KB L2 cache)
ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
1GB DDR2
thanks in advance for the help....

do you know your DVD drives condition? and if its not that, check your disc for scratches etc. If it came out of the box fucked up, take it back and get a new one

umm...the nba live dvd seems ok..no scratches....i just used my dvd drive a couple of times to watch some movies...hmmm...so does it mean that the specs of my pc are okay to run NBA Live 07?

Your video card might be the only thing not good enough, i'm not a expert on those though sorry....But as in Processor speed and RAM you seem fine...try looking on EA's site or in your manual about compatible Video cards

just read the readme and it says that ATI Radeon xpress 200 is supported...so does that mean that all other ATI Radeons Xpress  aren't?

Well, typically Live has trouble with on-board video cards like yours, so I'm guessing that's the problem here. Make sure you got the latest ATI drivers just in case, but it looks like your Xpress can't handle the game.

I run the game on an Ati mobility 9000 so an xpress 200 should handle it too. Try installing the omega drivers (www.omegadrivers.net) but check whether the x200 is supported by the latest versions of catalyst.

nope nope mope...
you need to access Catalyst Control Center and check the enable DXT Texture support, that will fix it.

It's always enabled by default I believe.
