How Can I Prevent the CPU from changing starters when I sim?

Thu Nov 23, 2006 7:35 am

I'm running a sim league, and after adjusting starting lineups, the CPU will still put higher rated players in over the guys i set up.

I've played with the primary/secondary positions and that fixed it in some cases, but if there is a higher rated player on the bench, they will start over the lower rated player.

Since it is a sim league, the owners have the choice of who to start and who to have off the bench, and they do not know the ratings of the players. So....I'm trying to figure out how the hell I can keep my depth charts active instead of having the CPU mess up my work!

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!

Well I've already gotten rid of 07, so I can't specifically look it up for you, but I can tell you that I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was no way to solve your problem. NBA Live 07 is pretty buggy and not very friendly to customization.

At least in old versions, it wouldn't mess with the way you had your lineup unless you made a trade/signing/etc.

I might as well ask the obvious... did you put the players you want as the starters on 100% on the start slider? Since there isn't a reorder roster anymore, that's the way to do it.

I know this probably wasn't exactly helpful... but... yeah. I'm chatty. Hopefully someone will be able to crack this for you. :)

I have the same problem, whenever i adjust the roster before a REGULAR SEASON game, the CPU rearranges both team rosters so that the higher rated player playing one of the positions in the starting unit... for example, in real life Kristic and Collins are the Center and Power Foward for the NETS in the starting unit, but for some reason the CPU would put Cliff Robinson instead of Kristic automatically cause he is rated higher than him as the PF...i dunno if this is a bug or sumthin but i've never experienced this in the previous versions of LIVE

To my knowledge there is no around that particular problem if you are trying to run your sim leagues in season or dynasty mode. In exhibition mode the cpu doesn't tamper with the lineup unless some other roster move is made first.
