that review is odd: i've played GTA (VC and SA), Gun, all manners of EA sports games, Tony Hawk games, and every emulator imaginable with the logitech and have never run into a problem....

I have bought two Logitech dual action controllers. I had the same problem as thousands of other people. The left analog suddenly loses calibration. I had to unplug and re-plug evey minute sometimes, because that would fix the calibration for a while. Then I got the "fixed" version which had some EA sports games advertised on front. It lasted so much longer, about 6 months longer than the other one, without losing calibration.

I got the Rumblepad 2 and have never looked back. It has never had a problem.

Yeah I think it's an issue with the 'dual action' Logitech, more recent models don't have that problem...i have a...dual analog I think, no problems. They're about the same price I think.

I'm thinking of getting a gamepad (well, another gamepad, since my 2 current ones don't have analog sticks). Any recent updates to this thread? I'll be using it on NBA Live 05 and then 08 when it comes out.

I'm trying out the Logitech Rumblepad II that just arrived in the mail...will update this post with my thoughts later!

EDIT: Yeah, I like it--although it doesn't rumble. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it rumble? I'm still getting used to the controls but they're coming easier than I thought they would. My hands are definitely less fatigued.

Anyone have any idea how to make the Rumblepad II vibrate with Live 07?

NBA Live doesn't support vibration on the PC.
