Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

Hello everyone, sorry if you have talked about this earlier....
Is it just me or is it very difficult to hit 3 pointers? Besides the VERY good shooters like peja or allen I find extremely difficult to score beyond the arc, even in practice. I mean with players with around 70 3p rating it is very hard to score and I mean when they are all alone unguarded. I have also played about 10 online games and all of my opponents have the same problem ,all games ended with a 3p% below 20%.
Also, MANY three pointers count as 2point shots but this is another bug issue...
Any opinions?

It has always been difficult to knock down treys online (especially in superstar mode) mainly due to lag issues. As for three pointers accounting for only two points, I seem to run into that problem quite often. Last year, EA offered a bit of leeway if you were slightly on the arc, but that has been removed in 07. In fact, it would seem that they have become even more stringent on the three point barrier because I've noticed through replay that I will often begin begin to ascent just outside of the arc, but will land on the line and only have it count for two.

this is not really true
it has always been fairly easy to hit 3p shoots
last year, well, it's been pretty easy, but you just couldn't be sure if you will hit or not, many times contested shots delievered and wide open went out
this year... well, most plyaers are under 20% longterm

I bomb threes online.

it's very hard to do 3s (online) especially in superstar mode. i can only shoot 3s if my player is wide open and is standing still 1 second in his position.

Historically three point shooting has been my weakest skill in NBA Live but this year I've found the game tends to reward open shots more often, which I definitely like since it's always been frustrating to put up good, wide open shots only to see them miss time and time again while the CPU repeatedly knocks them down under pressure.

idk if it woudl help u or not but when i was trailing down in the 4th quarter by 10 points i was the cavs n i played against the raptors and it seems to me that when u call the pick and pop play and hold the turbo and shoot as you are open it seems to make it
but idk it may just be me

I've gone back and forth over the years as to whether using turbo in conjunction with three pointers makes a difference or whether it's purely psychological. I can usually hit threes with ease in Practice mode without holding turbo so it's probably more an issue of creating space for the shooter and a good release.

I think Andrew is right. I worked in practice mode on my release point and now I can hit open 3pt shoots in a match too. I think in Live 07 most of 3pt shooting is training.

if i play nba live in dynasty mode, my 3 pt percentage is decent but if im playing with another person my 3 pt shooting really sucks.. even if im wide open i cant nail them unlike in dynasty mode its almost a sure shot..

i always hit 3 points open shots, and under pressure not so often, but i think its timing, but only with a 3 point skilled player

i think 3 points depends on players % and also the way you pull out the jumper.
i usually hit 3 pts when my center place a screen on the defender and i use the screen and jump shot

Does this mean that if I change the slider, it will still remain 25 in online?

i was part of franceslam a french nba league , 4 guys from it have posted on this subject here but noone answer, yes we cant change it ,it stay 25 and % is average 19%, far from 35% in nba, they tried a patch but it put sliders to 65.... all dunk shoot lay up were up too almost 100%, u can 100% shoot with duncan middle field so they uninstall it for the little story
but for some people on the forum it is just because players dont get open shots....seriously take nash alone on 5on5,shoot u do just bloops 9/10
and plz stop talking about training in gymnasium to improve it is SLIDERS NLSC,EA GUYS

tyou
